Palace Chemicals – A Proud Liverpool Manufacturer For Over 45 Years
Palace Chemicals is an independent company, based in Speke, Liverpool, which has grown to be a standard-bearer for British manufacturing, with a core focus on the tiling sector. It has one of the broadest product ranges available, is a leader in sustainable manufacturing and a supplier trusted by many on account of its reputation for excellent customer service and consistent product availability.
The Palace range comprises a lot more than tiling products, including a comprehensive assortment of profitable lines for the DIY retailer. These include a full range of decorating and DIY chemicals – waterproofers, wallpaper paste, adhesives, solvents, fillers, sealants, sugar soap, timber treatments and much more. Many of these are under the Langlow brand, which is well- known in the DIY sector. Having recently celebrated 45 years in business, Palace Chemicals’ has achieved its position as a market leader due to its commitment to investment
in technology and new product development. This means the company today has one of the most extensive ranges of tiling adhesives, preparation products and decorating lines on the market, all manufactured to the highest quality standards.
The quality of the formulations
throughout the range from preparation and aftercare products, ready mixed adhesives, cement- based adhesives and grouts has been overseen by one of the industry’s longest serving and most experienced technical teams. This has been further enhanced with a new experienced and customer- focused Quality Manager who has joined the production team. Palace Chemicals’ reputation as a
reliable and valued trading partner amongst its customers is built on a commitment to reliable delivery of the product range and the service that it is able to offer to its customers. Palace understands that these are the critical measures the market is looking for in a supplier.
The quality of the product range is ensured by state-of-the-art manufacturing systems, which offer the required high volume capacity, together with computerised warehousing systems, which are always stocked to ensure rapid order turnaround, utilising only best in class logistics providers. Quality and service go together and Palace’s aim is to ensure customer expectations for quality, service and value are front of mind for all operating processes from receipt of order through to delivery. The evidence for the reliability
and effectiveness of Palace’s operational processes can be seen in the independent accreditations that the company holds. These include the Quality Management System (ISO 9001), the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) and also the Health & Safety Management System (ISO 45001). All of these are subject to routine assessment and ongoing approval by the BSI. This high level of accreditation provides
the reassurance required by even the most demanding customers and enables the company to form excellent working partnerships right across the industry. On the sustainability front, the company is very careful in its manufacturing processes and with regard to the raw materials it uses to minimise its environmental impact. The team continually searches for ways to reduce the company’s carbon footprint and create superior manufacturing systems and better working conditions.
In a demonstration of its commitment to sustainable manufacturing, the company has also recently installed more than 840 solar panels, and these now supply the majority of the energy required for the company’s production processes, while the remainder of its energy supply comes from a renewable energy source, making for a healthier planet.
