Looking back while moving forward

This month we are celebrating the winners of the 2021 DIY Week Awards in our Special Awards Supplement, while at the same time looking forward to the 2022 event. Entries open for next year’s awards on 1 November and, after a tough couple of years, we are very much looking forward to getting back to some kind of normal and being able to welcome the great and the good of the industry to a live presentation ceremony. Like many other event organisers, this year we had to pivot towards a live-streamed online event and it certainly attracted a large global audience and gained plenty of fans. So next year we are hoping to be able to combine the benefits of having both a live lunch event, for those

who are able to attend in person, while also live-streaming proceedings for those that can’t. Giving our audience the best of both worlds really opens up the event to a wider audience and allows everyone to take part. So with this in mind, it’s time to think about what innovations, developments and new products you plan to enter

in order to gain worldwide recognition. Thanks to feedback from the many stakeholders involved, we’ve adjusted the categories for the 2022 programme, so there are plenty of opportunities to get involved and demonstrate the hard work you’ve put in during what has been an incredibly challenging time for everyone. The team and I look forward to seeing the entries and then enjoying your company at the event next year. Well done once again to all of this year’s winners and please visit the event’s dedicated website at www.diyweekawards.co.uk for more details about how to get involved in next year’s awards.
