FRÄNKISCHE has launched the first street elbow for MLCP (Multi-layer Composite Pipes), marking a significant advancement in its market-leading alpex MLCP system. While street elbows are widely used in copper pipe installations, until now no equivalent product has been available for MLCP systems . The launch follows the successful
introduction of FRÄNKISCHE’s swept elbow last year and further strengthens the company’s innovative MLCP offering. The patented fitting also enables
more compact installations, typically reducing space requirements by around 30 per cent. This is particularly beneficial where space is limited or where contractors are looking to minimise the footprint of pipework runs.

MLCP is said to offer several advantages over traditional plastic plumbing systems, including superior flow rates due to having the same internal bore as copper pipe. With the introduction of FRÄNKISCHE’s patented street elbow, installers can further optimise flow performance while avoiding the corrosion concerns and higher material costs associated with metal pipework. n
