And the winners are...
The winners of this year’s DIY Week Awards were announced at a glittering live presentation event held at the prestigious Tower Hotel in London on 20 May. After the challenges caused by the Covid pandemic over the last two years, it was great to be back socialising in person again with leading figures from the DIY, home improvement and garden industry. Hosted by comedian Hal Cruttenden and ‘Voice of the Balls’ Alan Dedicoat, I’m very pleased to say that the event was a great success, as all those present enjoyed a sumptuous three course lunch, fine wine and Champagne while celebrating the achievements of the winners. Even during these unprecedented times, the unrivalled resilience and innovation shown
by everyone who attended proves beyond doubt that the future of the DIY sector is in safe hands and very bright. I want to personally thank the Award’s judges once again: Paul Andrews; Paul Bagnall, Ricky Johal, Andrew Marley, Kate Murphy, Mike Smith, and Paul Warren, who gave up their valuable time to examine all the entries. With their help and expert opinions, the DIY Week Awards programme has been able to uphold its transparent decision-making process and continue to make winning an award a truly remarkable achievement. I also need to thank the event sponsors: Benchmark Retail Services, BIRA, BHETA, DK Tools, Home Hardware Southwest and Parcel Pending by Quadient for their generous support, we couldn’t put on the event without them. More information about the DIY Week Awards programme, a full list of winners from this year and previous years, as
well as photographs from the 2022 lunch can be found on the event’s official website at
