From its factory in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, KILROCK designs, formulates, blends, fills, packs, sells and distributes a full range of high-performance cleaning products. The company also manufactures, under license, the oldest cleaning product in the USA, Bar Keepers Friend. Kilrock began life in the 1930s as Etherium Limited, focusing on industrial water treatment in hard water areas. Etherium later became Heat Efficiency, which was sold to the Davis Family in 1986. At that time Kilrock-K, “the original multipurpose descaler”, had already been on shelves for 40 years. Since then, the Kilrock range has grown to over 50 products across key “household problem-solving” categories. Kilrock employs over 40 people and manufactures more than 90% of its products on site. Keeping production close to home has allowed Kilrock to ensure product quality, respond quickly to customer requests and remain agile in terms of new product development. With a factory expansion planned, significant investment in a fully automatic filling line and a growing blue-chip customer base, Kilrock says it is going from strength to strength. n info@kilrock.co.uk n www.kilrock.co.uk

LYTE LADDERS & TOWERS says it is committed to manufacturing access products in the UK and has been since 1947. Both organisations are dedicated to representing the interests of manufacturers, suppliers, specifiers and users, it provides and oversees the industry standard training schemes and is a major publisher of safety-related knowledge, information and guidance. The company says all of these factors allow its customers to have complete confidence in its British company, which Lyte says has been the case for its large blue chip companies who have been using its ladders for over 20 years. n 01792796666 n marketing@lyteladders.co.uk

The Union flag on STV’s product packaging says it all; STV says it is proud and happy to support British manufacturing. Whether it be the innovative range of ‘bait and kill’ rodent control products that the company sells under The Big Cheese brand, or knock-down insect control under Zero In, or the chemical-free slug deterrent wool matting sold under the Defenders Slugs Away range, STV is committed to sourcing UK manufactured products as a first choice whenever it can. Of the 230 or so SKUs STV supplies, around half are now manufactured either in-house or at UK based supplier partners. For the remaining products, STV originates its own proprietary designs in-house, as well as undertaking efficacy testing and managing QA using its own product management team. Artwork, packaging, and brand development is also all of UK origin, a factor which the company reckons has been a key strength in helping it to develop its export business. n 01953 881580
