BATHROOMS AND SHOWERS

COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL SECTORS PERFORM WELL

Amanda Mills, marketing manager at Saniflo, looks at the bathroom industry and the difficulties it has faced, in recent times.

A

s the housing markets look to continue to be uncertain, banks unsure as to how to approach mortgage rates, homeowners have turned to renovating as opposed to moving. Something to look forward to in the bathroom industry is the number of people going on staycations. Owners of these properties are looking to upgrade them, so they can charge more, so it is vitally important the bathrooms inside these properties can cope with being used by lots of people.

There has also been a focus from companies to build sustainable products and environmentally conscious products. Marketing manager at Saniflo, Amanda Mills, explains that the company has definitely seen something of this trend. “Saniflo products have

Triton Showers awarded Carbon Neutral certification

Triton Showers, has been awarded Carbon Neutral certification for the second year running, marking another important step on the company’s journey to becoming Net Zero by 2035.

The accreditation has been awarded by Planet Mark, an internationally recognised sustainability certification.

It covers Triton’s Scope 1 and 2 emissions, as well as business travel, water consumption, waste, employee commuting, and paper usage for its UK and China operations in the 2022/23 financial year

David Tutton, managing director at Triton Showers, said: “The Climate Change Committee recently revealed that the UK is no longer a world leader in sustainability, meaning it’s more important than ever for businesses to step up and take environmental responsibility. As Britain’s number one shower manufacturer we are committed to tackling carbon emissions, leading the industry by example.”

The carbon neutral certification is testament to Triton’s continuous commitment to sustainability, which is underpinned by its ‘For a Cleaner Conscience’ brand positioning. “The results of our offsetting initiatives and accreditation from Planet Mark confirming Triton’s targeted trajectory for Net Zero by 2035 is an incredibly meaningful achievement for all employees and partners.” added Tutton

Triton has also invested in verified VERRA offsets equivalent to its total measured carbon footprint, including one scheme that meets all seventeen of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

always been inherently sustainable because they are designed to last for many years. In some instances, Saniflo macerators are still operational after 20 years continuous service; reducing replacement timescales and minimising use of raw materials and energy.

“The manufacturing factories in France take great efforts to reduce their carbon footprint and to that end they have installed solar panels on the roof of their production facilities. The production line has been designed for maximum efficiency and products such as the units with brushless technology have been designed to perform using less energy.

“We are also looking at how we package all of our products. It’s an ongoing process.” This , she adds, is also the case for many manufacturers across the industry, as they

all do their bit to reduce the impact on the environment.

She says: “The market for Saniflo products is still holding up well this year. The domestic sector is buoyant as people choose to renovate rather than move.
