Showcasing a wide range of services to help customers with their projects, the branch offers drive in loading, covered timber, a huge tool hire range, 24/7 collection lockers, electric vehicle chargers, extended workwear and power tool ranges, paint mixing, workwear printing, project estimating, and free food and drink for customers visiting throughout the day.

RELAUNCHES LUTON

Jewson has unveiled a new Luton branch – its biggest in the UK. Oliver Stanley went for a poke around.

Luke Samples, Jewson Luton’s branch director, explains: “The launch of our new Luton branch has been an incredible moment not just for the local community, but for our business and the wider industry, too. Jewson is proud to partner the trades, so it was fantastic to see so many people come together under one roof, not just to explore the branch and its products and services, but to celebrate the pride and passion that drives construction forward.

“Our aim was to create a hub that truly raises the bar when it comes to merchanting, and the response we’ve seen so far shows that we’ve achieved that. It really is a destination of choice. It has everything for customers to come and have that one stop shop.

Above: The branch, at 226 Dallow Rd, Luton, was officially opened by Councillor Amy Nicholls, the Mayor of Luton, on September 5.

“We’ve centralised the pod at the front, where customers are greeted straightaway, and are never far from a member of the team. Then behind that, that we have the Let’s Chat pod, four separate areas where installers or architects can meet and chat with their customers in confidence. You can go through plans, they can take that time away over a coffee to go through things in more detail. They can sit down and have a conversation about drawings or whatever it might be, and build relationships.

“And we also have the Sustainability House, where we can bring our end users or customers clients, into a fully functional working house and look at solar panels, play with the buttons on the Velux windows, and have a practical look at different options for their underfloor heating controllers. “It’s a massive offering for our customers. Whether it’s the drive in, the clothing ranges, the power tools, the Sustainability House, it really has everything for customers to come and have that one stop shop.

“We want to give different customers what they want. For those who want speed, there’s the drive in option, for the customers who want to come straight in, get served quickly and go. And for the customers that then want to sit down with our sales team and have a chat about plans or whatever it might be, the facilities are there. We can cater for all. “The ethos around this new branch is looking at the local network, around us,
