numerous practical assembly guides, including a cardboard pallet for ground-level assembly. Multi Frame features a durable steel frame with an installation grid, accommodating BLANCO waste elements and the water conditioning unit of the CHOICE drinks system. With four configuration options available, it caters to diverse consumer kitchen needs and makes optimal use of the under- sink space.
Available for standard 600 mm cabinets with heights from 71.5 cm, the BLANCO Multi Frame simplifies kitchen planning and installation. Pre-assembled components, including the Orga shelf, a flat drawer, a waste organisation system, and the CHOICE All water conditioning unit, allow for a streamlined setup process.
Tamsin Mills, brand communications manager at BLANCO, says: “Kitchen organisation is a huge trend and in many kitchens the sink base unit is neglected. The new Multi Frame is the ideal solution for kitchen designers who want to create both a practical and attractive space. This thought- through solution for the base cabinet has the potential to elevate the kitchen water place to new heights, both in terms of design and functionality. Plus, the hassle-free solution to installation increases efficiency for kitchen planners, with the entire system arriving in a single, complete delivery, ensuring for punctual assembly.”
The BLANCO Multi Frame works best when paired with the CHOICE Icona tap, which transforms the kitchen tap into a refined water bar. Homeowners can benefit from filtered, chilled, boiling hot, or sparkling water options, all from one system. BMJ
veryone wants their kitchen to look the part. Only when it fails to meet their needs do people realise the importance of paying attention to internal storage components as much as the external finish. While designers often stick to familiar, tried-and-tested kitchen storage solutions, it’s crucial to explore the latest innovations. For example, while taller wall cabinets are becoming more popular for how they make best use of ceiling height, they can present an issue for those who struggle to reach elevated points.
Isabel James, product group manager for kitchen storage accessories and integrated waste at Häfele UK says: “The Yo-Yo overcomes this challenge. As a pull-down storage solution designed to improve accessibility to items stored in kitchen wall cabinets, the two-tier unit clicks into place when in use, offering a homeowner full sight of the items stored, while a soft-close mechanism lifts it gently back into place. “It also acts as a solution for people who might have accessibility struggles with regular- height cabinets, such as those in wheelchairs.” She says Häfele has elevated the storage options in kitchens and as the market for internal components continues to develop, there’s no reason why even the smallest of spaces can’t be maximised. “Super slim pull outs of just 150mm work for herbs and spices, wine bottles, or as a towel rack, making use of every single bit of under-counter space on offer. Meanwhile, thanks to a range of new drawer systems, the plinth space underneath cabinets can be reworked as a key part of kitchen storage,” she says.
Häfele’s recent Homes for Living research found that over a fifth of respondents (21%) said that the next time they plan a kitchen project, they would keep the existing cabinets and drawers and just replace the frontals or

internals, to best balance their budget and requirements.
This is “part-grading”, and it pays for merchants to have a strong range of retrofit and replacement kitchen solutions. “Integrated bins, for example, have emerged as one of the most popular items amongst homeowners updating their kitchens, as they enable people to keep waste solutions out of sight and out of mind – something that’s not often a consideration when they buy their first kitchen. It’s a growing category, with manufacturers like Vauth-Sagel and Hailo developing options to suit all kitchen designs and layouts,” she adds.
“Another way to update a kitchen quickly and easily, is to illuminate cabinet internals. Häfele offers a free of charge Lighting Design Service for merchant teams to utilise, which provides a bespoke lighting plan and product list in just three simple steps. Simply complete an online form with basic information and upload a plan of the room and cabinet layout, and within a short turnaround, our team of lighting consultants will return a tailored specification for merchants to share with their customer.”
Häfele’s Cornerstone Maxx from Vauth- Sagel transforms awkward corner spaces into storage solutions with large-area shelving that extends from the cabinet. It also offers tool- less assembly and simple height adjustment. James concludes: “Merchants and their kitchen design teams have a vital role to play in promoting why internal kitchen storage is so important to get right.
“By becoming familiar with what’s on the market today, they’ll not only increase revenue and improve their reputation as a specialist, but also become part of the movement to show customers that what’s on the inside counts just as much as what’s on the outside.” BMJ
