AND FINALLY
JB Kind hosts charity event at Burton Albion
JB Kind are hosting an 80s themed charity Disco Dinner at Burton Albion Football Club to raise money for their local branch of Mind.
The disco dinner is being held on September 29 and will include a three course dinner, disco, games and a raffle. The company set up a division in the business to sell timber doors locally, in 1983. 40 years since then the division has grown into a multi million pound business that distributes doors nationally.
“As our door business hails from the 1980s, an era that has some fantastic music and wild fashion, we knew an 80s themed fundraising event would be the perfect way to help raise money for mental health support services in our local area,” said JB Kind managing director James Cadman.
JB Kind has previously raised over £4,600 for Mind from the profits of a Charity Golf Day as well as a summer Pub Quiz, office based raffles and cake bakes. Cadman also said: “We promise a superb night with food, fun and dancing. We hope that people will come and enjoy themselves for this worthy cause.”
Covers sponsorship helps cricket teams “build” for the future
The
Chichester branch of Covers Timber and
Builders Merchants
announces sponsorship of Clanfield Cricket Club’s junior and women’s teams. The company announces a two year sponsorship that will help to support the players and their coaches. New shirts have been issued to the club’s two women’s teams and the two junior teams. The junior teams, All Stars Cricket and Dynamos
Cricket, are ECB programmes designed to introduce children to the sport. Jon Marks, hairperson at Clanfield Cricket Club, said: “We are incredibly proud to announce this exciting partnership with Covers Timber and Builders Merchants. The support from Covers shows a real investment in our junior and women’s teams. We started the ladies’ team just over a year ago and they have already been to a league final. “The ethos of this club is inclusivity, so we are pleased that through his partnership with Covers we can raise the profile of the game to women and young people. On behalf of everyone at the club, we would like to thank Covers for their investment in Clanfield Cricket Club and look forward to seeing their logo on our shirts for the next two years.”
