Grafton reports trading resilience Builders merchant group Grafton delivered a resilient performance in its latest trading period, despite a continuation of the softer market conditions from September and October. Group revenue for the year was up by 0.8% to £2.32 bn (2022: £2.30 bn).
Overall activity was subdued in November and December with average daily like-for-like revenue down by 2.9%.
The decline was partly driven by modest product price deflation in Ireland and the UK. The Group’s UK markets remained weak, with RMI volumes under pressure due to lower discretionary spending by households, and the decline in housing transactions and larger home improvement projects.
