BORDER MERCHANT SYSTEMS OPENS NEW OPPORTUNITIES Border Merchant Systems has been spending time this year upgrading customers with

a series of system updates, new releases, and integration options. T

he software company’s bi-annual system release contains over 300 system tweaks and upgrades including access to two new

integrations with Prommt and Paymentsense. There’s improved order acknowledgements and delivery notifications. An advanced supplier rebate scheme and options for tighter control of the ‘last price paid’ facility. All Border customers get the updates and access to the new integrations via their support contracts. The first few customers have started to be updated and this process will carry on for the next few months. The development team will also be

managing customer deliveries.

Delivery scheduling can already be managed by the Border system but the ePOD solution takes this a stage further. Delivery details, scheduling, routes, and maps will all be synchronised with an app for a smart device. The delivery driver can use the app on a mobile or tablet and then when a delivery is made can get signatures, notes and photos via the app, with all the data going straight back to the system.

introducing a new ePOD solution in early 2022. This is a huge step forward for

ePOD, along with a project to move the system to the cloud to become browser based, is opening lots of opportunities for merchants to be more flexible. BMJ
