1. Keep sysytems clean with Fernox Fernox has made some changes to its system cleaner - designed to be effective on limescale deposition. Re-branded DS40 Descaler and Cleaner, this powerful, fact-acting citric acidic cleaner is now available with a 500ml liquid System Neutraliser for simpler and safer dosing. DS40 Descaler and Cleaner works to rapidly remove limescale, black sludge and other debris from central heating systems. It is ideal for use when powerflushing, a recommended cleaning method under BS 7593:2019, and can also be used to descale heat exchangers or boiler components separately. A free-flowing powder, it is easy to use with powerflushing machines and when applying via the F&E tank. Installers will also only need one box of DS40 Descaler and Cleaner per application. It is safe to use with all mixed metal central heating systems and now comes with a new 500ml liquid, non- hazardous System Neutraliser - rather than a traditional powder version. This must be used in order to prevent the descaler and cleaner from causing any damage to the aluminium components found in central heating systems. The liquid version ensures that all environmental regulations are adhered to.

Accident Plaster sprays on protection Dr Weils Accident Plaster (First Aid For Tough Trades) helps trades protect themselves against life threatening infections like Covid 19, Weils Disease and Sepsis while onsite. The product is a transparent, flexible, waterproof film-skin that is sprayed on to cuts, grazes and burns to form a protective barrier in less than 60 seconds. It sanitises and seals the wound and gives immediate protection and relief. It lasts all day and can be then washed off with soapy water. It comes in a handy size can that can be kept on a tool belt and the recommended sell-out price is £6.50 per can for up to 65 applications per can. It can be simply washed off with warm soapy water and can be applied no matter how hot, wet or sweaty you get.
EH Smith is the first
builders merchant to stock the product which was developed by former Special Forces medic Hadrian Garner. It’s manufactured in the UK and was developed originally to protect against Weils disease and other infections like the onset of Sepsis. It is now used by many members of UK special forces to safe guard from waterborne and airborne infections while on operations. The transition to the construction industry makes sense given the punishing conditions they work in. Health and Safety managers like it as first aid can be given without touching the injured party, keeping to Covid protocols on site.
