Most of our promotion is done through Facebook and Twitter. It’s a great way to engage with customers and let themknow about new products which have arrived. We encourage customers to send photos of cakes they havemade, and these are also posted on our Facebook and Twitter accounts. This is proving to be very popular and we will be expanding on this.We are currently developing our

in-store demonstrations andmaybe cookery classes.
In themeantime, we’re in the process of
installing an EPOS system. This is proving to be quite a challenge, as we have over 5,000 products which all need listing, categorising and uploading onto the new system. But once done, it will be a great asset and will allow us to concentrate on taking the business to the next level.
Having a shop full of lovely, interesting,
practical and useful items which customers enjoy buying brings us immense satisfaction. Hearing customers laugh out loud at the witty and humorous greetings cards in our selection means we’ve done our job correctly.
The daily positive comments about the shop - and the increase in sales and footfall -mean we’re doing something right.
The challenge going forward is tomaintain themomentumand continue to bring new and innovative products to our customers.
