Our training scheme, NIBE Pro, is an installer partnership scheme designed to guide and assist prospective installers towards making the change towards becoming a best-in-class heat pump installer. It provides a streamlined, personalised route for plumbing and heating installers to become an MCS Certifi ed heat pump installer. NIBE Pros also gain access to a range of other

3. What are the entry requirements for this training and how long does it take to complete? The programme off ers three routes to becoming a NIBE Pro Installer for those at every stage of the training process. ¡ Those with no heat pump qualifi cations are guided through the process from start to fi nish with LCL RQF Level 3 Award in Heat Pump Combined Technology, and the CIPHE Low Temperature Heating and Hot Water in Dwellings Course. New trainees will also be guided through all the necessary MCS Certifi cation requirements, whilst gaining access to specifi c NIBE product training and a reduced fi rst year RECC membership fee. ¡ For a reduced fee, those with pre-existing qualifi cations can join the scheme for MCS Certifi cation, whilst gaining all the benefi ts that comes with becoming a NIBE Pro Installer. ¡ Those already MCS Certifi ed can also access the scheme.

5. What topics are covered in the training programme curriculum and how do they relate to industry trends? The NIBE Pro training programme is designed to cover all that is recommended to become a high- quality heat pump installer. Central to NIBE Pro is the LCL Awards Level 3 Award in Heat Pump technology which provides learners with training and demonstration of the requirements for MCS contractors, whilst ensuring installers are well versed in customer care, high quality management systems and installation records. The course also covers the crucial CIPHE Low


Temperature Heating and Hot Water Course, ensuring installers know how to correctly size and install systems for their customers. This is important as it ensures customers will receive heat pump systems that work to maximum effi ciency levels, preventing artifi cially high bills whilst keeping customer’s warm and comfortable in their home. The course also ensures that installers can confi dently assess, design and calculate appropriate heating requirements, undertaking room-by- room heat loss calculations in line with industry standards. Consumers will be made aware by NIBE Pro Installers whether they will need to undertake system changes such as radiator upgrades, in some cases preventing needless higher costs to install a heat pump.


6. Describe any practical components or hands-on training included? The units get taken apart during the course for installers to see inside & ask any questions. The trainers also run through common alarm codes that fl ag up and how to resolve them/what they mean.


NIBE Pros are also provided with assisted


commissioning visits on their fi rst install, accompanied by a NIBE engineer and sales representative to ensure everything is set up properly. This provides valid reassurance for both the new NIBE Pro installer and the customer. NIBE then signs the install off if everything is installed properly.


7. Describe any specifi c certifi cations or qualifi cations that can be obtained through the training? MCS Certifi cation, NAPIT membership, reduced fi rst year RECC membership fee, MCS credits towards registering fi rst installations.


8. What are the costs associated with the training programme? £1,800 + VAT, however costs are fully redeemable through the NIBE Pro cashback voucher scheme against relevant NIBE products. NIBE is also an approved heat training grant provider, meaning that installers could claim back up to £500 on their training costs on select NIBE training courses.
