information and manufacturers standards, to enable a full testing report to be completed. The course now includes fi re & smoke damper installation. This enables your client to comply with BS9999 and the Fire Safety Order 2005. Demonstration of diff erent types of fi re dampers & smoke dampers from electrical to manual operation, how to identity fl aws in fi re compartmentation, regulations that must be adhered to. All study material provided with a training manual to use as reference guide.

Hands On Ductwork Cleaning – Two Day Course ¡ CITB NI Registered No. 14208 ¡ CPD Certifi cated

This hands on and technical course covers cleaning both the supply and extract air conditioning systems, to BS15780 & LPS 2084, including kitchen extracts to TR19 Edition 2 guidelines.

components of a system from inlet to outlet louvres, dampers, AHUs, air turning vanes, fi re dampers, silencers, appropriate access panel locations, access panel cutting, and cleaning techniques using bespoke equipment for ventilation systems are covered on this course. Visual and equipment aids are demonstrated enabling the delegate to gain experience in a real plant room situation. Verifi cation and sampling of systems is demonstrated and explained to ensure cleaning has been carried out to the appropriate standard. All the relevant regulations, standards and guidance documents are explained and issued in a full training pack.


Ventilation Risk Assessments in Existing Buildings – One Day Course ¡ CITB NI Registered No. 20581 Evaluating the ventilation systems forms a ventilation risk assessment and is a thorough examination of the workplace air conveyance system to ensure there is nothing in the ventilation


systems which could cause harm to people or have a risk of fi re due to contaminants. It will identify possible dangers to the workforce and visitors and implement precautions to prevent these dangers. The course is designed to cover the fi ve main points of a good ventilation risk assessment.


3. What are the entry requirements for this training and how long does it take to complete? ¡ No experience required for the course and all materials are provided, with training aids throughout before examination and certifi cation.


4. Is your training programme accredited or recognise, please list and explain? ¡ AEME is a CITB Approved Training Organisation (ATO). ¡ The AEME Fire Damper & Smoke Control Damper Inspection, Testing & Installation Course is part of the Level 3 NVQ, GV3L 04 – SCQF Level 6 Ventilation Maintenance Award rated by the SQA.


5. What topics are covered in the training programme curriculum and how do they relate to industry trends? ¡ The majority of people spend over 80% of their time indoors either at the offi ce or in the home. The AEME training courses give individuals the tools to improve the indoor air quality for majority of the worldwide population through their innovative training techniques.

Describe any practical components or hands-on training included? ¡ The courses on off er give trainees the opportunity to use all the tools that would be required in the course of their day-to-day employment. With a fully kitted out training centre with a range of ductwork types, fully functional AHUs and Fire Dampers that are used across the course.

Describe any specifi c certifi cations or qualifi cations that can be obtained through the training? ¡ The AEME training courses are provided at a CITB ATO, the courses provide the qualifi cations for on-site certifi cation and signing off of clean and workable ductwork or fi re dampers. AEME courses are also part of the Level 3 NVQ, GV3L 04 – SCQF Level 6 Ventilation Maintenance Award rated by the SQA for those who go on to demonstrate their competence in the industry.


8. What are the costs associated with the training programme? ¡ The two day courses range from £350- £490+VAT per delegate.
