Ideal Heating: Furthering learning, expanding knowledge I

n 2023, Ideal Heating – Commercial Products made a considerable investment into expanding our commercial training courses for engineers, and upgraded our Training Centres of Excellence.

Hands-on training is a hit

By the end of November 2023, we had delivered 213 training courses. Evomax 2 training has proven to be by far the most popular in 2023, which is no surprise as Evomax 2 remains the UK’s number 1 selling wall hung commercial boiler. The courses are delivered from our BPEC

approved and City & Guilds assessment Centres of Excellence at Bridgehead in Hull and Leeds, plus our Dalgety Bay facilities in Fife, Scotland. In 2023, the premises received a complete overhaul turning them into leading edge training facilities, fully equipped with Ideal Heating’s commercial products. From the feedback we have received from those attending our courses, the ability to get truly

hands-on, interactive training has been key to their success and has led to repeat bookings.

Expanding learning through CPD seminars

But it’s not just the hands-on training that has proven popular this year; our CPD seminar attendance has increased exponentially with 521 hours of further learning delivered by the Ideal Heating Commercial Products specifi cation team through CPDs since August 2023. Our two new low carbon focussed CPDs – ‘Heat Pumps – Technology and Principles’ and ‘Heat Networks and Heat Interface Units’ – had an incredible 435 attendees in just four months. Each CPD is an hour long and can be delivered online or in person, either at your premises or at one of our Centres of Excellence.

New for 2024 We are planning for new ‘Further Learning’

opportunities throughout 2024 and new methods of delivery. We are in the process of enhancing our ECOMOD commercial heat pump training course through the addition of controls and hybrid system set ups, for even greater hands-on learning. We are also excited to announce that we will be opening new training facilities in Luton in Spring 2024.
