CONDAIR
Harrier Group, a UK digital printing fi rm, has invested in four Condair RS restive steam humidifi ers to maintain the perfect production environment in its newly-designed, high-tech print room. Accurate humidity control maintains the integrity of the paper being used. If the atmosphere is too dry, paper can develop tight edges and curl at the corners, whilst too much moisture in the air can cause paper to become wavy as it absorbs water.
Any dimensional change can result in print issues, as the machines run at such high speed. This is especially critical as the inkjet printer at Harrier’s Newton Abbot site is running at high volumes 24 hours a day. Harrier’s health, safety and facilities manager, Jeremy Rawley, said the units are maintaining the vital humidity levels required of between 40% and 60%.
Dave Marshall-George, sales director at Condair, added: “The Condair RS is a popular choice for digital print rooms, as it off ers accurate humidity control and has an innovative scale management system.”

KAMCO
Kamco has a range of chemical cleaning pumps designed to clean heat exchangers, boilers, chillers, condensers, air compressors and cooling waterways without the need to strip them.
An air compressor supplier was able to reduce a typical week out of service to clean a compressor cooler down to just four hours using a Kamco Scalebreaker pump and chemicals.
Stripping and cleaning a plate heat exchanger can take a week and involve the need to replace expensive gaskets, whereas cleaning in place can be done with a Scalebreaker pump in less than one day, with no need for dis-assembly.
Scalebreaker pumps have been designed to be easy to use, although support and guidance from Kamco is available with every pump. Pumps can handle acids, alkalis and detergents, and are built for a long, maintenance free life. All units are designed for portability having integral 200mm wheels. ECOAIR
New R290 heat pump chillers from Eco Airbox, part of the Excool Group, utilise a low GWP refrigerant, incorporating a modulating fridge system to reduce power consumption while it’s in operation. A high COP comes from the ability to vary the water temperature depending on the ambient conditions. The staged compressors control the water temperature to its optimal level signifi cantly lowering the power consumed whilst maintaining desired space conditions when connected to air handling units.

Low Global Warming Refrigerant Used
BRITISH DESIGNED ENGINEERED AND MANUFA CTURED IN THE UK.
The system can feature either a single or twin head water pump which is critical for a reduction in maintenance hours as it allows the head to be changed without losing operation of the unit. There are two fridge circuits in the heat pump chiller unit allowing for continuous operation and backup during maintenance. The heat pump chillers can communicate with each other whilst in use on the same site allowing for staggered defrost cycles in extreme conditions.

PANASONIC
Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions is launching its new graphite grey units to the Etherea with nanoe X range of air conditioners, available in capacities 2kW – 3.5kW.
The latest addition joins the existing silver matt and pure white matt units. The high-quality wall mounted air conditioner has an elegant design with a body width of just 870mm and has been designed to allow for easy installation and maintenance. Additionally, the units also come with an easy-to-use remote controller with an ergonomic design and tapered rear housing for the most comfortable grip. The smart Etherea unit comes with nanoe X technology built-in to improve protection 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Abundant in nature, hydroxyl radicals have the capacity to inhibit fi ve types of pollutants, including certain viruses and bacteria as well as odours to clean and deodorise. Nanoe X technology can bring these benefi ts indoors so that the indoor environment can be a cleaner place to be.

GILBERTS
Gilberts has revised its ground-breaking MFS hybrid ventilation unit. The new version is cheaper whilst retaining its quality and performance and uses less steel. This makes it lighter, potentially reducing transport costs and build costs. Being lighter the MFS further is also easier to install. These benefi ts compliment existing eco-advantages. The MFS in eff ect works as a natural ventilation unit, only using its integral low energy fan to supplement airfl ow as conditions demand. MFS can be confi gured to run on 100% fresh air, using a LPHW coil to temper the air to provide Covid compliant ventilation without compromising the internal temperature.
Integrated into the heating system – including heat pumps – Gilberts’ MFS can utilise the warmth generated from LPHW systems to warm or cool the internal space as needed without the need for radiators and all associated ancillary capital costs.

SANHA
Sanha is expanding its portfolio with two new press systems: ‘Heavy Steel Press’ and ‘Heavy Steel Press Gas’ made of carbon steel. With these press fi ttings, thick-walled steel pipes can be pressed in a time-saving manner instead of being welded. The piping systems are suitable for heating, gas, cooling or industrial applications, among others.
Time savings of up to 60% and less additional work compared to welding are excellent arguments for using the new press systems. They receive additional safety through a special design - the sealing ring has a 200 % larger surface than usual. This means that permanent tightness can be guaranteed without any problems even if there are any remaining surface imperfections (within the tolerance range of EN 10217 / EN 10255).
