Easyfairs will host London Packaging Week on 21 and 22 September for the very first time - acting as a new home for collaboration, discovery, and innovation for the international packaging community.
he brand-new event takes place at London Olympia, combining four specially curated exhibitions: Food & Consumer Pack, for everyday food, drinks, and FMCG products, plus Packaging Première, PCD, and PLD. The re-brand represents a new and exciting evolution of the long-established Packaging Innovations & Luxury Packaging London show.
T
The event will cater for a wide range of packaging sectors, blending a packed show floor with a host of world-class exhibitors. A free- to-attend seminar programme set across three stages will provide further dedicated insight into the most pressing challenges and issues faced by the packaging industry.
THE EVENT FLOOR
The event will host more than 180 exhibitors, many of which will use the event as a platform to launch their latest packaging developments. TIPA Compostable Packaging will attend Food & Consumer Pack to debut its new fully home compostable transparent laminate,
T.LAM 608. The product gives end-consumers authority over their own waste management, as it is home compostable, whilst offering the same barrier and transparency as other compostable laminate solutions.
Elsewhere, Micro Delta Packaging will launch
its SP05 R Trigger Sprayer, available in spray and foaming nozzles, alongside child-resistant features. Its polyolefin design is compatible with today’s recycling streams.
SEMINAR CONTENT
London Packaging Week will present content across three new stages. For FMCG professionals, the Food and FMCG Future Makers stage will provide a complete insight into the future of food and everyday product packaging. Seminars will be delivered by the brands at the forefront of the rapid evolution of food retail, and the organisations driving this change. These include leading names such as Nestlé, DEFRA, WRAP, Unpackaged, OPRL, and Appetite Creative. Content will also take place across the Luxury Unboxed stage and the Beauty and Drinks Innovators stage.
The Pentawards, the global platform and community for packaging design, will deliver a further six exclusive Capital of Design sessions alongside the three packed seminar stages. By popular demand, The Big Debate series will return to discuss important industry topics, including: ‘how to make true progress to minimise packaging’s impact on the planet’. Josh Brooks, marketing and community director for Easyfairs’ Packaging Events, says: “Our
London event has undergone a new and exciting change, and we are excited to show our visitors in September. Although Packaging Innovations & Luxury Packaging London has provided a unique meeting place for packaging designers, technologists, and suppliers in the capital for 10 years, the past decade has represented a significant shift in the needs of the market. So, it’s time for London’s packaging community to begin a new chapter. We know our guests will love London Packaging Week, which provides a varied and exciting exhibitor lineup, a world-class seminar programme, and plenty of opportunity to develop fresh ideas for their next packaging projects.”
Exhibitors include familiar faces as well as those new to the UK market. Antalis (stand C30) will be bringing packaging inspiration to the event by welcoming visitors to a stand that will showcase the latest media trends, capabilities and sustainable packaging solutions. The wide range of creative papers and graphical boards includes brands such as Keaykolour, Olin and Eska Black – products suited for luxury packaging. Visitors to the stand will also be able to see the winning concepts of a collaborative ‘Luxury Drinks Packaging’ student competition initiated by Antalis and Brief Cases. BellaGiada will be showcasing its range of new sustainable natural materials on stand D64. The range, which is branded ‘Reborn’, includes certified 100% recycled leather and alternatives to plastic film and vac-formed trays – suitable for eco-conscious brands looking for credible sustainable luxury material options that can still deliver an all-important premium look and feel.
