Industry News Editor’s Comment
Welcome to the joint July/August issue of Converter. I’d like to start by introducing myself to you, the readers. I’m super excited to be in this new role of editor of this brilliant magazine and work alongside a great team in putting it together. Already I have met some fantastic people in the industry and spoken to many more through online communications. On top of meeting some of the people which are at the forefront of the packaging and printing industries, I am already learning a lot about some of the technologies used and the challenges many of these companies face and overcome. This issue will look at Adhesive applications, Coating and Laminating, Drying, Curing and UV, Labelling solutions and Static control and Web cleaning, plus we’re taking a look at the upcoming Labelexpo Europe as well. I hope you enjoy this issue and please do get in touch if you want to submit any editorial or advertisements for future issues.

Fujifilm rebrands HS series as Acuity Aristo and hosts Barcelona open house event
To support the rebrand, Fujifi lm hosted an invitation-only Open House event on 8–9 July 2025 at the Barcelona headquarters of its long-term development partner, Barberán. The select list of invitees were the fi rst in the world to see both the Acuity Aristo HS6000 and HS3000 running live in production for the fi rst time. The event also included guided demonstrations, technical briefi ngs, and the chance to speak directly with Fujifi lm’s development team. The HS6000 device on display at the event was then disassembled immediately afterwards and transported to Linney, in the UK, where it will become the fi rst Acuity Aristo installation in the world.
