Reel & Roll Handling Moving along the right roller tracks
The roller elements, suitably fixed inside the RLT-AL aluminium profiles, create modular roller tracks for passive handling (both as sliding or containing surfaces), suitable for several applications in different fields: feeding and discharging benches in construction machinery, storage and picking systems, packaging machinery, etc. RLT-U-PA roller elements are also
suitable for handling heavy packages, RLT- U-TPU roller elements, with rollers in anti-scratch material, allow the handling of delicate materials such as glass and wood. The low friction coefficient between the

he Elesa ELEROLL package of rollers and ball transfer modules is designed to greatly simplify
installation and use of this type of widely used conveyor system. The modular ELEROLL roller conveyors
allow easy and quick joining of units to create loading and unloading areas in the construction of machines, storage and retrieval systems or packaging machines.
The main components of the roller conveyors are constituted by sliding elements, which are either rollers or balls, for bi-directional or multi-directional (omni-directional) movement of heavy parts, packages or sheet materials. Elesa’s worldwide supply chain of
high-quality industrial components is typified by the ingenious design of the ELEROLL modules.
the Internet of Things, big data, AI or app-control are at the forefront of a customer’s mind. However, experience has shown that it is not long before forward-looking prospective customers begin to understand its importance and investigate. Today, systems are becoming more and
more complex due to the need for additional functions and better safety features. This need has resulted in many more pneumatic components and, as a result, building has become very labour intensive - especially since “in industry 4.0”, everything is required to be connected. Until now, Dotec has incorporated its
own electronic platform in the range of LiftAssist handlers. However, whilst researching suitable control components, Dotec’s R&D manager came across the Festo Motion Terminal. The resultant close cooperation between Festo and Dotec resulted in a system that has encapsulated the control of complex movement combinations, safety, modern communication and digitalised pneumatics.

hen looking for a reel or roll handling solution, it is unlikely that connectivity,
roller and the roller holder eliminates the need for lubrication maintenance – while the particular section of RLT-AL profile, allows the snap-in assembly of the roller elements into the profile without the need for screws or other fasteners. Therefore, the roller elements may be quickly and easily removed and replaced, without disassembling the entire roller track. The roller elements may be divided
between individual wheels, so as to create roller tracks of precisely the required length. Further information regarding Elesa products may be found on their website.

A fully integrated Digitised Pneumatics control, based on the Festo Motion Terminal VTEM, has come to fruition.
REASONS FOR UPGRADE Key features of Dotec LiftAssist equipment are ergonomics and user convenience – ie. responsiveness, smoothness in operation, easy to use and to be fail-safe. Dotec was looking for more flexibility; only one type of control and software to configure when customising to order; enabling monitoring and modifications on site, be it a change in parameters or a firmware upgrade; interconnectivity was essential to monitor the system wherever it is in the world, to collect big and small data for predictive maintenance, and to better remote assist. And, importantly, to be ready for the
future. In an era of robotics, computer vision and artificial intelligence, at some point it is a logical step to upgrade to a robot or autonomous system. This is part of Dotec’s R&D agenda. Taking account of industry 4.0 is the company’s challenge for a successful future. Details of all Dotec LiftAssist handlers are available from UK agent, Jarshire Ltd.
