Evoca’s New Generation of Impulse Vending Machines ‘will raise expectations’ in the UK marketplace
It’s all change at Evoca this year as a series of new models, which are compliant with new energy saving regulations, is introduced.
T
The EVA withdrew its Energy Measurement Protocol (EMP) for refrigerated machines in July 2019, and on 1 March, the New Refrigerant
Regulations, together with changes to Energy Label Regulations – EN 50597 – came into force, introducing refrigerated vending machines to stringent new energy consumption targets and obligations. Evoca will introduce its new, compliant ‘impulse’
machines under the collective banner of ‘The Future of Vending’. The first of the new products, ‘Swing’, will replace the company’s best-selling ‘Tango’ model. Later this year, ‘Orchestra’ and ‘Orchestra Touch’ will supersede ‘Samba’; ‘Jazz’ will be replaced by ‘Twist’ and ‘Melodia’ will be supplanted by ‘Vivace’. ‘The new machines use R290 to provide cooling and
as such, all of them are significantly more efficient and therefore less damaging to the environment than the products they are replacing’, Sales Director Craig Jukes said. ‘But the new machines are not simply more efficient. As a leading global manufacturer of vending machines, we continue to focus on the adoption of technology that will make our customers’ businesses more efficient and more productive. As it has always been at Evoca, our mission remains to add value for operators.’
This year, operators will see more of the payment
and control products that have been developed for vending by Evoca Group company Newis. CoffeeAPPeal, AmiClo and Breasy. The arrival of ‘Swing’ in the UK is imminent, so
what can customers expect from this eagerly awaited machine? ‘Tango has been tremendously successful for us’,
Craig said, ‘but Swing, aside from its environmental credentials, offers our customers significant operational benefits compared to its predecessor. The watchword for the new model is ‘flexibility’, in terms of both operation and configuration. Having said that, the ‘green’ case is compelling. Thanks to the high performance of the refrigeration and insulation systems, Swing will reduce energy consumption by up to 70% compared with its predecessors. This is an extremely important development as it helps reduce running costs as well as address some of the environmental issues that we are all concerned about. ‘Internally, LED lighting and a bright white interior
ensure optimum product visibility’ Craig said. ‘Additionally, thanks to V Flex, the quick positioning system which controls the guides that support the trays, operators can create the perfect set up for the product mix on offer in just a few minutes.’ The other incoming machines are expected to
offer similar operational benefits, in addition to the added efficiency that is incumbent in the use of R290 as a refrigerant. ‘The new machines herald a new era in vending’, Craig said, ‘they are standard bearers for the industry and as, collectively, we get back on our feet, their features and benefits will raise expectations. It’s an exciting time, both for us and for our customers.’
