IER Interview: ANKER MD Igniting new possibilities
through ultimate innovation IER Managing Editor, Stuart Hopwood, first met with Faraz Mehdi (Managing Director - UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain & Portugal at Anker Innovations), in October 2024, whilst attending ‘The Future of Connected Living’ by ANKER Innovations, then held at Tobacco Dock, London.

esides product innovations, discussions with Faraz were also very
much focused on Anker’s UK expansion to include independent electrical retailers within its ambitions. It was mentioned that such was an important factor of the Anker expansion programme, hence, during 2025 the need for ongoing strategic planning was imperative to increase and benefit all its retail partners. Recently, I again caught up with Faraz. As
a result, he has kindly provided interesting answers to the following questions, giving us his very latest insight to the continued progression and ambitions of Anker Innovations in the UK market.
Stuart Hopwood (SH): What will be the future of Anker Innovations to be available in the UK market? Faraz Mehdi (FM): This year has been a transformative year for Anker Innovations UK and Ireland and one that we are truly proud of. Unified under its three brands – ‘Anker’, ‘eufy’, and ‘soundcore’ – we’ve set a new course as a global smart-hardware leader delivering smart solutions that solve real life problems and elevate everyday experiences. These brands focus on “igniting new possibilities through ultimate innovation”, creating category- defining products across charging, home energy, smart appliances, home security, creative tools, and audio-video. With AI at the heart of everything, Anker Innovations is set to reshape consumer experiences across its portfolio and to replicate the global success the brand has had by continuing introducing innovative products such as the UV printer.

with a competitively priced product and healthy profit margin? FM: We have big ambitions and part of that has been to expand the team, working with individuals who are exceptional at what they do. We’ve gone from one person to six salespeople in the UK, strengthening the company’s capacity to engage in the market.
