IER Interview: Ecogenesys CEO
Stuart Hopwood Q & A with Graeme Milne
Since being awarded the prestigious ‘IER Contribution to the Industry Award’ last year, I’ve met up and spoken with Graeme Milne CEO of Ecogenesyson
several occasions. Those who also know him will describe him as an amiable person with absolute determination to succeed and exceed.
A
t the outset, Graeme commences, “Previously known as REPIC, an
acronym for the Recycling Electrical Producers Industry Consortium, we rebranded to Ecogenesys in 2025 to better reflect our growing service offering and sustainability ambitions”. “Consider us an extension of your
organisation. Our team combines industry
experts, who have exceptional knowledge of producer responsibility, waste management and sustainability, with specialists in their own fields of finance, operations and data interrogation. Together, the Ecogenesys team collaborate with our members and partners to meet and exceed requirements”. “Our board of directors includes producer representatives as non-executive directors,
giving the producer community a real say in what we do and how we do it”. After this introduction, it was the
opportune time to discuss a variety of current and future matters appertaining to electrical waste and recycling, which will continually affect all within the supply chain, from manufacturers, independent retailers and end consumers.
