Update: Sirius

2025 serves as a springboard to success as Sirius Buying Group continue to expand in 2026

Following another fantastic year of empowering independent business owners, Sirius Buying Group has welcomed yet more electrical retailers to the group who now have access to the best terms, exclusive deals and additional services from Sirius Approved Suppliers.

A

t the turn of last year, Sirius Buying Group was delighted to welcome back

award-winning appliance retailer, Basil Knipe Electrics, as an Approved Member to the group. Following a short break, Basil Knipe is now one year on since returning to the group and once again, is safeguarding its independence throughout Northern Ireland.

Repair & Assure were the next retailer to join the Group in 2025, followed by Ashton TV in Lancashire, Hartley Appliance Repairs in Lincolnshire, and Apex Appliance Experts in North London. Last summer, The Furnishing Service with 4 branches in Scotland, 2 in England and 1 in Wales came onboard, with Fusion Furnishing Services and parent company, The Appliance Shed in Glasgow joining not long after. More recently, Sirius is pleased to provide

invaluable support and new retail opportunities for Irelands Appliance Centre, Chester Appliance Centre, and Orkney based, Home Collections, who were the latest Approved Members in 2025 to become an integral part of Sirius Buying Group. Steve Jones, Managing Director at Sirius Buying Group comments, “Membership growth is just one example of the important steps we’re taking as a group to further develop and expand our strategy, so we can continue to provide our Members with access to the right opportunities to strengthen their business for the long-term future.”

Another annual high point last year was the

partnership between Sirius Buying Group and the British Independent Retailers Association (Bira) so that moving forwards, all new and existing qualifying Members of the group are automatically subscribed to Bira using a combined Sirius/Bira membership. As the Sirius community continues to grow,

so too do the opportunities for Members to explore the latest electrical appliances and kitchen furniture, enabling them to select the premium brands and product ranges that best meet the needs of their customers. Alongside this growth, the group’s network of Approved Suppliers has expanded significantly, with a

number of leading electrical appliance brands joining the group to ensure members have the right choice of suppliers to suit their business. In Spring 2025, Montpellier Appliances became an Approved Supplier to enable all group Members to now buy direct from source. They were shortly followed by Swift Electrical, that brings its extensive range of own-brand Tesla and Inalto products, as well as Hisense and Fridgemaster products to the mix. This was followed by Benross joining as an

Approved Supplier in August, offering Sirius Members their range of seasonal products. Morphy Richards became the final Approved Supplier to join last year, making its debut at the 2025 Sirius Trade Show showing an ongoing appetite to re-establish the brand as the envy of the industry. In less than 3 months of 2026, Sirius has

appointed another trio of Approved Suppliers including products by Cookology & Iceking via The Wright Buy, the return of industry-leading distributor, Portway Domestic Appliances, as well as Refrigeration Norwest (RNW), that brings a range of market leading brands including Teknix, a premium OEM brand that has been designed and refined by RNW for the past 10 years. As the white goods industry delivers

increasingly personalised options to support today’s demanding lifestyles, independent retailers need to ensure they are uniquely placed to deliver on the latest consumer buying habits and style trends in their area. Combining direct field research with bigger picture trend

PEOPLE MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

analysis, everyone within Sirius Buying Group is part of the conversation on how to best refine the supply chain for mutual benefit. To support these primary ideals, Sirius Buying

Group hold regular trade events to provide its Members with face-to-face networking opportunities throughout the year. The next corporate event on the calendar takes place on 17th to 20th May 2026, as Sirius Buying Group hold its Annual Conference at the Tivoli La Caleta, Tenerife. Providing Sirius Members with the unique

opportunity to secure exclusive deals from leading appliance brands, strengthen existing relationships with Sirius Suppliers, and explore new opportunities within the group, this year’s Annual Conference is yet another example of how facilitating exclusive trading terms and new business connections is crucial to the retail independence of all Sirius Members. The 2026 Annual Conference agenda has been designed to give Members valuable time to focus on their mid to long-term business strategies, product portfolios and future sales opportunities. Over three days of structured presentations, meetings and networking, Members and Approved Suppliers will connect through one-to-one discussions, creating the ideal environment to strengthen partnerships and unlock new opportunities in the marketplace.
