Sirius heralds its partnership with Symphony Group and 2020 S
irius Buying Group says its
partnership with the Symphony Group is set to grow as the manufacturer develop its independent retail network through
Sirius members’ stores and kitchen studios. Steve Jones, managing director of the Sirius Buying Group, said the group is now able to offer propositions for Sirius members that are thinking of moving into selling kitchens and for existing kitchen studios that are keen to source appliances. Mr Jones said: “We seem to be getting the message from manufacturers about simplifying ranges that they want retailers to offer to their customers.
“If we’re going down that route of less is more than what else can we do with showrooms?. “The support that Symphony can offer for
kitchen displays, then you’re adding another string to your bow with kitchens, it’s putting those products on your shop floor in a great lifestyle setting and then you’ve also got the possibility to sell the furniture and kitchens as
well – all of a sudden you can hit two markets rather than just one.” The three-way partnership is between
Sirius, Symphony and 2020, which provides end-to-end software solutions for designers, manufacturers and retailers. “The three-way partnership enables Symphony, which is very good at holding retailers’ hands every step of the way; even if you don’t think you have a lot of space, or if you do have enough space and don’t know what to do with it, Symphony has an answer for that. “Then, in terms of designing the kitchen, that’s exactly what 2020 is there to provide as well, as a Sirius member. 2020 wants to help members be successful and it will guide you along the way.” Mr Jones said that 30 Sirius members are selling Symphony kitchens and there are 15 more in the pipeline, which are expected to come online within the next four months.
