for most in this room, and yet trade continued to be done even during the pandemic; fl exibility in business enabled trading to continue and hopefully profi ts were enjoyed. Some businesses managed to grow and I am absolutely confi dent that every one of you in this room did a sterling job to keep the ‘electrical retailing’ ship afl oat. “So, hopefully, with better time ahead, look
after your customers, off er them value, keep lobbying local and national government, keep innovating and most importantly of all, keep using the same business skills which have culminated in your being here today.” The IER Awards is the ultimate hub for
rewarding excellence in the electrical retailing industry over a wide range of products reaching the consumer by standout independent retailers of appliances across all categories. Mrs Dorling added: “Winning an award is an
unrivalled seal of approval in a highly competitive fi eld; separating your company from competitors, elevating your profi le within the industry and attracting new business opportunities. “We designed the Awards event to be a great
opportunity for you to network, to renew old acquaintances and to forge new ones.” The IER Awards could not have been staged without the participation and generous support
