I

talian appliance brand Smeg and world-renowned cultural icon Disney have once again teamed up to introduce a series of new ‘Mickey Mouse’ FAB28 fridges. Back in 2018, Smeg partnered with Disney to mark a year signified by two landmark

anniversaries - the brand’s 70th anniversary and the first birthday of its flagship London store – as well as Disney’s most famous mouse’s 90th anniversary. The collaboration saw the two brands join forces for a limited edition run of exclusive Mickey fridges. Only 90 fridges were made in total for the limited-edition collection, using a bespoke sketch of Mickey. Due to the high demand in sales for this collaboration, Smeg and Disney have teamed

The transparent OLED is the result of a conceptual research project by Panasonic and Vitra. Through a series of workshops Vitra provided expertise in furniture and space design which was combined with Panasonic’s focus on using advanced technologies to improve lives. As a result, a number of ideas about how new technologies can be used to seamlessly integrate audiovisual devices into our living space were developed. The transparent OLED display is the first of these ideas to come to fruition. The transparent OLED display converts from a passive object into a lively and dynamic element, from something meant to be seen into something meant to be watched.

up for a second time to introduce a new design of Mickey on its popular retro-style fridge, the FAB28RDMM4. The new style features an adorable ‘True Original’ sketch of Mickey, with more of his face on show than his predecessor – yet still playfully reaching for the handle of Smeg’s fridge. This cheeky and endearing image has once again been commissioned exclusively for use by Smeg. Finally, the fridge also comes complete with an elegant silver plaque, which features Disney’s signature logo. Furthermore, the brand new FAB28RDMM4 fridge benefits from a A+++ energy rating, making it one of Smeg’s most efficient fridges. In addition, it features a muiltiflow cooling system, as well as adjustable glass shelves. Further to this, this new FAB28 addition will feature the recent slick updates introduced late last year including internal LED strip lighting, new shelving, chrome detailing and life plus 0-degree compartment.
