Haier I PRO Series 5 In a spin

The cost-of-living crisis has meant that, more than ever, consumers are focused on value and making even more considered purchases. Simon King takes a look at the home laundry market

he last 12 months have been challenging for many reasons, with the entire major domestic appliance market declining

year-on-year as a result. While washing machines were slightly less affected than the average,

the market for tumble dryers decreased more so. “2023 is expected to be a tough year for our industry, with the market being expected to decelerate at a lower rate than in 2022,” says Vijay Bhardwaj, marketing director at Beko UK & Ireland. “Financial pressures are likely to impact spending habits, with consumers

searching for appliances that meet their needs and expectations at a price point that is competitive.” The laundry market has come a long way in recent years. Households

are busier than ever, and consumers are looking for products that can help them keep up with this demand.

The buying behaviours of consumers has been impacted as a result and many are now looking towards appliances that help them to maximise their energy savings.
