CES 2023 was 70% larger than the previous year’s event and featured more than 3,200 exhibitors, including 1,000 start- ups. Simon King reports

t CES 2023, companies demonstrated how technology can conserve energy
and increase power generation, address food shortages, create more sustainable agricultural systems, power smart cities, support access to clean water and more. The show included innovations in transportation and mobility, accessibility technologies, electric vehicles, digital health, sustainability, Web3, metaverse and beyond. Gary Shapiro, president and chief executive of
the Consumer Technology Association, said: “The halls were buzzing with energy and excitement – attendees, exhibitors and media from around the world are passionate about gathering together and advancing our industry. “At CES 2023, new innovations promised to change our world for the better. Companies big and small showcased innovations in mobility, digital health, artificial intelligence, robotics, food tech, smart home, digital assets and more.” Out on the show floor, there were many
innovations to see across consumer electronics and major domestic appliances. LG Electronics unveiled its 2023 TV line-ups headlined by its most advanced range of OLED TVs yet.
With premium self-lit picture quality, powerful image processing technologies and an enhanced webOS platform offering even more smart features and services, the company said its latest OLED TVs elevate the viewing experience. A decade after introducing the world to the
first-ever large-screen OLED TV, LG continues to lead the premium TV market. The company’s cutting-edge OLED TVs have
been recognised at the CES Innovation Award for 11 years in a row, and have kept evolving over time to deliver ever-greater value to consumers. In addition to realizing more immersive viewing
experiences, LG’s self-lit technology has enabled the company to create unprecedented, visually- stunning TV form factors, including market-firsts such as the rollable LG SIGNATURE OLED R and the bendable LG OLED Flex. A double honouree at the CES 2023 Innovation Award, LG OLED Flex won Best of Innovation in the Gaming category. Spearheading LG’s 2023 OLED line-up are the
latest Z3, G3 and C3 OLED evo series TVs. These upgraded, new models provide higher brightness and colour accuracy as well as amazing clarity and detail thanks to the precision and performance of LG OLED evo technology and the new α9 AI Processor Gen6. The latest Alpha series processor utilises LG’s most sophisticated AI-assisted Deep Learning tech to ensure outstanding picture and sound quality. AI Picture Pro offers improved upscaling for
better clarity, and enhanced dynamic tone mapping, which helps reveal the depth and detail

Samsung said its wide portfolio of offerings helps users build their own tailored experiences with the devices they use every day, with more intuitive technology than ever before. This year, Samsung takes one step further in
its ever-evolving journey to simplify consumers’ everyday lives with seamless multi-device integration across its entire ecosystem through its smart home platform SmartThings. Cheolgi Kim, executive vice president of visual
