For over three decades, the IER Awards is the highest acclaimed celebration of excellence in the electrical retailing industry, recognising the people who make a difference, along with the products and services they are involved with. It’s a celebration of the many successes, endless hours of hard work and incredible displays of innovation seen across the electrical retailing sector over the preceding 12 months

ll of this year’s finalists have performed to an award-winning standard and should be congratulated for making it to this
stage and for their contributions to the trade as a whole. As always, with a wide variety of professional skills vast experiences, the
carefully selected panel of judges were presented with some excellent entries and had to make several, really tough decisions. We thank them for their tenacity, and utter scrutiny for making their final line-up. Also, a very big thank you to the Retailers who voted for their favoured
products and services. Of course, the IER Team would also like to thank our sponsors as without their amazing support, this important annual event of industry recognition would not be possible. With a record attendance, there was a fabulous vibe on Friday 5th July
at the Park Plaza London Riverbank Hotel, as people really did make a difference to support our industry’s Nominated and ultimately, Best and Highly Commended, in products and more importantly, the recognition of people at the 2024 IER AWARDS. Starting the day from 10.30am, with a Welcome Reception, manufacturers and service providers had the amazing opportunity to informally meet and chat in the Products & Services demonstration area. As the room continuously filled to bulging point, it was fabulous for one and all to meet again with many of our industry’s major suppliers, manufacturers and retailers. As all settled in readiness for lunch at 1.30pm, Special Projects and
Events Manager at Datateam, Linda Dorling, greeted the large audience and thanked them for supporting the IER Awards, of which rewards the excellence which exists in our industry.
It is fitting at this
point to also mention that Linda has been instrumental in organising the IER Awards from the beginning, 32 years ago. The whole industry knows you will state, as always, it’s teamwork, but your lead and overwhelming contribution still

deserves a big ‘thank you Linda’. During Linda’s Welcome speech, she typically recognised several
attributes of the necessity of teamwork. Closing her introduction by sincerely stating, “On behalf of the IER team, I would now like to take this opportunity to thank ALL of our amazing sponsors, exhibitors and retailers, as without whom this event would not be possible.” “Thank you to our generous sponsors: AMDEA, AWE, Beko, Bira, Blomberg, Calculus, Candy, Connect, Crown Imperial, Domestic Appliance Distributors, Eco Air, Electrical Safety First, EPE International, EAS Services, Euronics, Express Appliances, Forbes Rentals, Glen Dimplex, Haier, Hoover, Midea, MLP, Quick Brown Fox, Repic, Shark Ninja, Sirius Buying Group, Sony, Symphony, T21 Group and Waterline.” With a fabulous lunch completed, it was time for the awards. After
performing at festivals and TV appearances around the world, the highly sought talented Host, top circuit act, Jimmy Mcghie, was introduced by TV voice over artist, Roger Tilling. His comedic communication with the audience clearly had the room buzzing with continued enjoyment. After many fits of laughter, Jimmy then introduced each Award category followed by Roger calling out the finalists and the relevant sponsors called out and presented the winners with their deserving accolades.
