CS, the UK’s quality mark for small- scale renewables like solar panels and heat pumps, has launched its new website. The website has been designed with both industry and consumers in mind, boasting improvements to key existing tools that will improve user experience.
The Standards and Tools Library now gives users the ability to search an archive of past versions of Standards, as well as share documents directly from the site with colleagues or customers through channels like WhatsApp. The improved Product Directory, meanwhile, provides clear

segmentation between product types and the ability to download a product listing straight to the user’s device. And for consumers that are looking for an MCS certifi ed installer, the Find an Installer tool has been optimised to enable them to more easily fi nd the installer best suited to their needs.
The new site has been created with accessibility front-of-mind. MCS has invested in a web accessibility solution that features a range of customisable tools, including text-to-speech, translation, customisable styling and reading aids. This launch is a key step towards MCS delivering
on their mission to give everyone confi dence in home-grown energy by making the sector more accessible for a wide range of audiences.
Baxi appoints new MD for UK and Ireland B
axi, part of the BDR Thermea Group, has announced the appointment of Jason Baldock as the new managing director for Baxi UK and Ireland. This follows the news that outgoing MD and Dutch national Jan Rijnen has re-located to head up sister BDR company Remeha, covering the Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg (Benelux) region. Jan will continue to be responsible for Baxi UK&I until Jason joins on 1 October. Jason has 29 years’ experience in commercial and project delivery roles, most recently as MD of Alstom UK and Ireland Digital and Integrated Systems division since 2020. During
his time at Alstom, Jason oversaw numerous signifi cant contract wins in the rail sector, which included securing the largest market share of Network Rail’s Major Signalling Framework Agreement (MSFA).
Both Jan and Jason will report into BDR Group CEO Tjarko Bouman.
Commenting on his appointment, Jason said: “I am truly excited to be joining Baxi UK & Ireland and look forward to building on the company’s strong heritage and exploring new opportunities as we embrace the decarbonisation agenda.”
