Knightsbridge reaches new highs with LED industrial lighting
The new Potentia LED high bay range from Knightsbridge provides an ideal solution for industrial applications requiring versatility, flexibility, durability, control and performance. The high bays, which come in two sizes, feature a selectable CCT switch, allowing users to adjust the colour temperature between 4000K and 5000K according to preference; and offer wattages of either 100W, 120W and 150W or 150W, 180W and 200W depending on model.
Potentia are rated to IK08, making them resilient in the face of impacts, and also IP65, ensuring resistance against dust and water ingress. Built-in 0-10V dimming capability comes as standard, while the high bays are supplied with polycarbonate diffusers, ensuring even light distribution that makes them ideal for environments where cleanliness and hygiene are of importance. A programmable microwave sensor is available which enables the user to set various parameters such as brightness, sensitivity, hold time, standby time and standby dimming. When used with an addressable Digital Addressable Lightning Interface (DALI) control system, the DALI module allows the installer to assign an address and a control group to the fixture. This address and control group allows for grouping of fixtures into zones.

Fundamental to Meridian LED Lighting is the extensive selection of anti-corrosive fittings, comprising the classic Weatherproof range for the commercial/industrial sectors; the recent addition of a Slimline range for the domestic/ commercial markets and finally the Empty Body range, largely for industrial use.
The Standard range offers single and twin 4ft (24w/48w), 5ft (30w/60w) and 6ft (48w/96w) fittings plus emergency options on 5ft and 6ft. Delivering a 6500k daylight output, the weatherproof frosted PC diffuser protects against moisture, grease and UV radiation. The stylish Slimline fittings deliver a 4000k cool white output across single and twin 2ft, 4ft, 5ft and 6ft fittings with wattages from the 2ft (9w/18w) up to the 6ft (39w/70w). Emergency options come on all but the 2ft. This range is fitted with steel clips and mounting brackets for ease of installation.
Finally, the Empty Body single and twin 4ft, 5ft and 6ft sizes can be surface or chain mounted and are compatible with Meridian’s T8 range of clear LED glass tubes.

Scolmore expands USB-C socket outlet range
With USB-C becoming more popular and taking over from the original Type A charging port, Scolmore has expanded its USB-C product range. Already offering a 13A 2 gang switched safety shutter socket outlet with integrated Type A and Type C USB ports, to complete the range the
company has now added a new, 13A 1 gang switched safety shutter socket outlet, with Type A and C USB (4A shared).
The safety shutters contained within the 1 and 2 gang socket outlets with integrated Type A and Type C USB offer increased security and reassurance. All three pins of a UK BS Standard plug must be inserted to release the locking mechanism to allow the safety shutters to open. At the same time, Scolmore has added new Type A and C New Media modules. The dual USB module 2A Type A and 3A Type C modules are available in black, grey and white.
The Click 1 and 2 gang Type A & C USB socket outlets are available in the following ranges – Deco, Deco+, Define, Definity Complete, Mode, Part M, Polar and Metal Clad.
