The fi rst award of the afternoon was the Best Accessories Brand, which was awarded to Selectric. “The Electrical Wholesaler 2023 Awards was a great ceremony to represent an amazing industry,” said national sales manager Matt Wood. “It was a privilege to be involved and an absolute honour to win Best Accessories Brand for the second year on the trot. We are lucky to have such a wonderful team at Selectric and are incredibly grateful to all our customers that have testifi ed on our behalf.”


Rointe Heating picked up the next award, which was for Best Heating Brand. “Rointe is delighted to have won,” said global marketing director Laura North. “It means a great deal to us, especially considering the awards are voted for by our customers and peers in the electrical wholesaler industry.


Thank you to all those that voted for us and we had a fantastic time with you all at the event! See you next year!”


Up next was the Best Lighting Brand Award, with Lumineux Lighting crowned the winner. Mark Needham, MD at Lumineux Group, said: “Winning is testament to the hard work and dedication that the entire Lumineux team commits to the business. We are delighted to have won this award, in such a greatly respected category, and we thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate this with the industry. We will continue to focus on our continuous improvement and look forward to supporting electrical wholesalers across the UK.”


Best Wholesaler with 6-25 Branches was up next, with Alert Electrical Wholesalers taking home the trophy. Alert also won the coveted Best Customer Service - Wholesaler award. “This wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support and votes from our amazing customers and partners,” the company said. “Your trust in us is the driving force behind our commitment to excellence, day in and day out. A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who cast their votes and helped us reach these remarkable milestones.”


Up next was the category for Best Safety/ Security Brand, which was won for an amazing fourth year running by Di-LOG Test Equipment. Dave Sweetman commented: “The entire team at Di-LOG are honoured to have won not only for 2023 but for the past four consecutive years. Our commitment to electrical safety is paramount - this award will give us an opportunity to publicly promote all life-saving “Safe Isolation” equipment to our distribution network, encouraging them to help us make our industry a safer place.”


CEF took home the accolade for Best Wholesaler with 26+ Branches, as well as that of Best Wholesaler Website. Mick di Stazio, director of marketing at CEF, said: “We are honoured to be among the outstanding brands and professionals acknowledged. These awards serve as a powerful testament to our dedication to excellence in all that we do. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to EW, a huge thanks to all our colleagues, to our customers for their continued support and supplier partners who have been instrumental in achieving this remarkable success.”


Independent wholesale buying group AWEBB was awarded the honour of Best Training Provider category for the outstanding work of the AWEBB LEAD Academy.


The award for Best Individual Branch was up next. Kew Electrical - Chichester took home the


trophy. The company commented: “Well done to everybody and thank you for all your hard work - great achievement.”
