undamentally, Dietzel Univolt is a family business, and was launched as an independent entity in Austria 85
years ago. Its launch into the UK came much later, but this arm of the business has grown to become an incredibly important part of the wider group. Our fi rst site in Carlisle Road in Edgware was our original base. I joined as sales manager and launched the sales team, alongside colleagues

in the offi ces and warehouses. One year later, I recruited my fi rst salesperson, at which point we were turning over around £2m a year. Our focus then was primarily on round, oval, channel and mini along with maxi and dado trunking. These core products became the foundation of our business.
We have since continued to build and strengthen our range, introducing new lines such as twin wall ducting, power poles, surface
accessory boxes and our HFT LSFOH range. Two years later, in 2007, we moved to Quadrant Park, Welwyn Garden City, into a 9,000 sq ft modern building. Our aim at that time was to identify a considerably larger facility that the business could grow into. We stayed there for 15 years, until now…
