New appointments to Recolight board R
ecolight is pleased to announce the appointment of two new directors to its board: Steven Reed, commercial manager at Trilux, and Stephen Bell, services transformation and compliance director UK and IE at Zumtobel. Both have over 20 years of experience in the lighting industry. Recolight chief executive Nigel Harvey said: “The breadth of experience and knowledge of our board is invaluable to us as we expand the range of services we off er to meet the changing needs of our producer members and collection partners. Stephen and Steven both bring a wealth of experience and knowledge that will help shape and guide our future direction. ”
The pair join the three non-executive Ddirectors who represent Recolight’s founding members: board chair Andreas Adam, senior director at Ledvance, Andrew Clark, fi nancial controller at Feilo Sylvania UK and Robert Sprott, service manager at Signify.

AWEBB announces two appointments

lectrical purchasing consortium AWEBB has announced the recruitment of two additions to the team: Simon Oram as commercial manager and Steve Watson as marketing manager.
Simon has over 15 years experience in both retail and electrical wholesale markets. He joins AWEBB from previous roles at Toolstation and Denmans electrical wholesalers. He will utilise his excellent negotiation skills to continue to deliver the best deals for all AWEBB members, helping them to maximise the wealth of opportunities and benefi ts available to them. Steve has been working in a variety of hands-on marketing roles for more than 20 years. He will focus on enhancing AWEBB’s communication, branding and digital marketing activities to ensure the group provides a clear, consistent and continuous approach to members, suppliers and the market as a whole.

The combined expertise of Simon and Steve will play a crucial role in advancing industry and member collaboration, communication and innovation.
International (CKI), passed away on 29 January 2024 at 88 years of age. He was the last surviving family member of his generation.
Arnold studied at The London School of Economics, before starting at C.K Tools as an apprentice and eventually taking over the reins of the business after his father’s death.
Under his stewardship, the company expanded from a six-person enterprise to a business with a workforce of 120, with products sold to over 20,000 stockists in over 40 countries across the globe.
Arnold was passionate about producing high-quality, durable products and coined the original ‘Friend for Life’ strapline C.K Tools was known for, conveying his fi rm belief that “recollection of quality remains long after the price has been forgotten. In 1993 Arnold was awarded an MBE for his contributions to Welsh industry. Known for his kindness, gentleness, dignity and hard work, he leaves behind a legacy which will be cherished by his fi ve children and fi ve grandchildren, as well as his industry peers, colleagues and the local community.
