One such fundraiser was organised by Hamilton, who donated £3,200 to Wallace & Gromit’s ‘The Grand Appeal’, which raises funds for the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. During the company’s 500th anniversary year, the team also undertook a gruelling 110-mile charity bike ride between Teddington and Bristol to raise £1,600 for the local community near its Bristol headquarters. Great stuff! January also marks a poignant time to look ahead at what’s going to impact the electrical wholesaling industry in the months to come – nationally and globally – and in the wake of the IPCC’s landmark report on climate change, green energy and energy management are a particularly prudent focus. ell, here we are again in January! I hope everyone is well-rested after the break and ready to ring in the new year. It’s off to an

peak hours of demand will become an increasingly important way to reduce overall energy costs, which are tipped to rise by 40-45% by 2028. Other companies are mobilising under the

auspice of energy solutions, including Delta, which organised an official side event at the Katowice COP24 Climate Change Conference in Poland, to reflect on the role of distributed energy resources in advancing the energy resilience of cities. Cartosys will likewise help UK Power Networks transition to a low-carbon economy, and the Berkeley Group’s South Quay Plaza development in London’s Docklands, one of the tallest residential towers in the UK and the tallest tower in the Berkeley Group, is set to use Veolia’s latest combined heat and power (CHP) technology to provide low carbon energy. We all have our part to play, and so whether

that’s charity work or raising green-energy awareness, it all counts in the long run.
