ominations are now open for the first ever Smart Solutions Awards,


Electric, Legrand and Vent-Axia – will recognise installers, manufacturers and wholesalers. Smart Solutions is a new online resource,


developed by Voltimum, guiding electrotechnical professionals along the journey towards adding smart home and building automation into their business repertoire. The awards will champion installers, manufacturers and wholesalers that are leading the charge in this exciting, growing market.

Vent-Axia supports youth charity C

Vent-Axia, presented a cheque to the Mayor of Crawley, Councillor Raj Sharma last month to support Crawley Community Youth Service –the Mayor’s chosen charity for the year. The cheque was presented by Vent-Axia’s


Marketing Manager, Jenny Smith, in the Mayor's parlour. Vent-Axia chose to support Crawley


Community Youth Service as its 80th anniversary year charity in 2016. To raise funds, the company held a Christmas raffle, netting over £300 for the service.


The charity encourages


young people to be positive role models who can create engaged, vibrant and equal communities throughout Crawley. It provides clubs for young people in Bewbush, Gossops Green and Langley Green.

Community Youth Service and help local young people,” said Jenny Smith. “We were keen to support our local community when we picked our charity for the year and the Service is a great example of bringing the community together and empowering young people. anniversary with a series of events this year. May 28th, 2017, marked the day 75 years ago


when founder Harold Cirket registered the company name. His idea was develop the potential of plastic extrusion, with a War Loan of just £394. Marshall-Tufflex is now a £multi-million business trading in more than 40 countries and employing 170+ staff across its manufacturing base and HQ in Hastings, East Sussex, together with depots in London and Manchester. To mark the anniversary the company is holding a summer party in Hastings for past and present employees, their families and shareholders.
