The world’s first fixed blade VDE stubby screwdriver has been launched by Carl Kammerling International, the quality hand tools and security solutions supplier. After talking to professional electricians, Carl Kammerling identified that most carry a non-

insulated stubby screwdriver. Despite understanding the importance of using insulated tools, electricians often encounter situations where their usual VDE screwdriver won’t fit. The new C.K Stubby VDE Slim Screwdrivers are designed to fill this problematic void. The shorter length is ideal for confined spaces, and VDE approval assures that each is individually tested to 10,000v for safe working up to 1,000v. Premium quality, chrome vanadium steel blades provide exceptional strength and durability while the slim shaft, allows access to recessed screws and fixings. Furthermore, anti-roll flats prevent the screwdriver from rolling off sloping surfaces. Manufactured in Germany, the C.K Stubby VDE Slim Screwdrivers are available in four key tip types, the essential PZ2, Slotted sizes 4.0mm and 5.0mm and Modulo (+/-) 2, with tip type markings for easy identification. Industry-leading products to be launched by

Carl Kammerling so far this year include Europe’s first 100% splinterproof cable rods, the C.K MightyRod PRO, and the slim yet tough, C.K dextroVDE Slim Screwdrivers. For more call 01758 704704 or visit:

HellermannTyton redefines cabling with innovative metal clip

Cable management specialist, HellermannTyton, has launched a metal nail fixing solution as a quick and efficient means of securing cables, while ensuring full compliance with the BS7671 wiring regulations. With updated regulations in July 2015 stipulating the use of metal clips within the escape routes of buildings, there has been an increased demand for metal fixings. The new metal nail clip from HellermannTyton ensures compliance and maximum safety as the cabling will remain securely fastened in a fire thanks to its unique flex design. Using patented HellermannTyton technology, the metal cable clips come in a range of sizes, colours, and coatings. The variety in size means that they can accommodate a number of wire sizes. The integrated nail and clip design simplifies the installation process – requiring only a hammer – meaning installers can mount multiple cables quickly and efficiently with minimal fuss and cost. Richard Rands, Product Manager, explains:

“The introduction of the new wiring regulations has implications for our customers and the industry and here we have demonstrated our responsiveness to an important industry development to best support our growing customer base. We have provided a solution which satisfies the requirements of the new legislation. The wider commercial benefits through enhanced efficiency are also there for all to see.”
