photocell sensors to turn lights on at dusk and off at dawn.

Hamilton Air: all-weather outdoor control A touch of affordable luxury can be added to

the garden with smart lighting control, or with Hamilton’s Air Wireless switching you can control garden lighting along with other electricals such as gates, garage doors and water features. Mains voltage powers the Hamilton outdoor unit, which then controls up to four individual circuits. Each 10-amp circuit can be wired to a different outdoor electrical feature, allowing it to be switched on and off within a 250-metre range with a convenient hand-held key fob and switch plates installed throughout a property.

Multiple remote controllers can be linked to the device, which provides on/off and timed functionality. The timed option is particularly suited to devices such as water feature pumps that need regular use, or for when homeowners are away from the property. The Hamilton Air Wireless Switching kit comes with a sleek and unobtrusive surface-mounted

wireless switch plate that can be located anywhere indoors. The system is compatible with all Hamilton Air accessories, has an IP56 rating and is suited for all weather conditions for year- round control.

Hamilton’s Elemento brings power safely outdoors As previously mentioned, lighting and

electrical devices all need power. Products and accessories used externally – such as power sockets and switches – must be compliant with building regulations and IP66 tested to be waterproof as well as withstand ingress of dust and dirt. To comply with such building regulations and

to meet the specific demands of outdoor use, Hamilton has developed the Elemento range. The easy-to-install accessories have a polycarbonate housing that is robust and impact resistant with a scientifically-formulated gel seal that ensures integrity and protection from water, dust and small particles, making them IP66 compliant.

Another crucial factor is that products are of a

quality to withstand weather. Finding an appropriate solution that will withstand extreme weather environments of heat, rain, wind and cold is important. We’ve seen it ourselves recently in the UK that one day can be 28 degrees Celsius, followed by a cold and rainy day. With this knowledge, Hamilton’s products are

built to withstand hot and cold extremes and will not discolour, fade or crack under the elements. We’re so confident of this that the products have a ten-year guarantee. And, following a recent design refresh, the Elemento range of switches now have a larger, more contemporary and on- trend look that also makes them more robust for outdoor use.
