Smart Buildings Show 2024 attracts biggest audience ever
A standout event in the smart buildings sector, the Smart Buildings Show once again demonstrated its capacity to draw a crowd.

ttracting 2,395 visitors from across the industry, the two-day event saw visitors flock to conference sessions hosted by prominent industry speakers and visit the stands of leading smart buildings vendors. With more than 100 industry exhibitors in attendance, the show provided the perfect opportunity to get close to the latest and greatest products currently making waves in the smart buildings market. The four packed conference theatres demonstrated strong visitor appetite to hear more about key industry topics relating to energy management, controls and networks, IT and infrastructure, and management and proptech.
Event director Ian Garmeson commented: “The popularity of this year’s event demonstrates the ever-growing interest in the industry and we’d like to thank all of our exhibitors, speakers and supporters for helping to make the show the leading event in the smart buildings arena. Attendances continue to grow and the show’s top industry billing has resulted in a record number of re-bookings for next year.”
Neil Salt, an exhibitor and speaker for Forest Rock, commented: “Everything has been very positive - visitor numbers are up, leads are up. The location is also great which make a massive difference to us.”
Anthony Dann from Trend Control Systems was equally positive, saying: “Really good number of leads. This is our industry show.” Rachael Duckworth from Beckhoff, meanwhile, commented: “An exceptionally well organised show that gets better each year.” Smart Buildings Show will return to ExCeL London on 15-16 October

The lighting sector is embracing verified data on its sustainability claims, including Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), delegates at Circular Lighting Live 2024 heard.
T
he conference and exhibition, held on 9 October in London, was packed with new information, initiatives and updates on all issues related to sustainability and lighting. A theme throughout the day was the growing need for lighting manufacturers to provide credible third party certified environmental metrics such as Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and EPDs. Recolight used the event to unveil its partnership with One Click LCA, which provides lighting manufacturers with a luminaire specific online tool to generate LCAs and EPDs. 300 attendees, sponsors, and speakers hailed the event as a resounding success. The unanimous feedback from delegates confirmed that Circular Lighting Live, now in its third year, provides essential information and clarity in what is a both a vital, but also a rapidly changing landscape. The event was organised by Recolight, and the conference was hosted and curated by Ray Molony, editor of the Circular Lighting Report. The organisers have already confirmed that Circular Lighting Live 2025 will be held on 25 September 2025, at a newer and larger venue in central London.
