Getting smart with lighting In the time it has been in business, Forum has become established as one of the UK’s largest suppliers of smart controls for domestic and commercial use. Forum’s halo product range is called Kinetic. These self-powered, wireless kinetic switches and receivers use micro-energy acquisition technology.
This technology is becoming more and more popular with consumers who love the ease of using their Amazon Alexas, Google Home devices or smart phones to control the lighting and energy efficiency from wherever they are. Kinetic appeals to both electrical contractors and homeowners because there are no constraints of wiring location and there is also no need to channel into the walls.
The kinetic switch can be installed anywhere and because they do not require wiring or batteries, or any channelling into walls, the installation process is speedy and labour time and cost is reduced.
The switch can even be installed in the bathroom due to its IP65 rating. The switches can be screwed to the surface or stuck on with adhesive pads. They can also be retrofitted onto existing back boxes as they are the same size as standard switches.

Forum also has its Coast range, which is perfect for those who live in coastal areas as the light fixtures are made of polycarbonate and marine grade 316 Stainless steel materials, meaning they will not degrade in saltwater and strong sun.
