■ Excellence In Innovation “It is always special to win a national award because it means that the entire collective workforce of CIL is performing at the highest possible level. It means that every single person in the company is a winner and that every single team member is performing at a level that makes our collective performance much larger than the sum of our individual parts. The award was recognition of CIL’s innovation in power electronics assisting with the global drive towards Net Zero and CIL creating the UK’s largest Semiconductor Packaging facility for both power and microelectronic devices.” – John Boston, Managing Director of Custom Interconnect Ltd.

New format for next year! I
n 2025 the prestigious Electronics Industry Awards and The Instrumentation Excellence Awards will come together to become The Instrumentation & Electronics Industry Awards.
Both award schemes are well- established in their own right: over the years winning an Electronics Industry Award or an Instrumentation Excellence Award has come to symbolise the highest

mark of esteem from industry professionals and experts. Winning an award represents an independent stamp of approval – separating winners from their competitors and opening doors for new business opportunities.
In 2025, one comprehensive list of categories will now reward product innovation, individual endeavour and company success across the length
and breadth of the electronics and instrumentation industries. The rationale is to allow the large number of companies who have previously entered both awards to now enter and attend one comprehensive awards scheme and ceremony.
Entries will open in January 2025 and close in April. The entries that meet the scheme’s requirements will then be
judged by a panel of industry experts and also voted on by the industry. The winners will then be revealed during a truly magnificent evening at the Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden, London on 23rd October 2025. More details about this exciting new event will follow soon.

■ Rising Star
“The EIA is a respected annual event in the electronics sector especially within the UK and Europe. The awards hold credibility as they are peer-reviewed which reflects the electronics industry’s regard for high quality, performance and innovation. Being recognised as the Rising Star of the Year 2024 and winning the award is the pinnacle of my young career so far. The award is a reward for all my hard work, resilience, drive, purpose, focus, humility, teamwork, and support from colleagues and clients. I am indeed very grateful. The night was awesome, we were warmly greeted by the hostess Catherine, pictures were taken, champagne was flowing, networking was going on and Barry from Eastenders was wonderful.” – Onomen Ojesebholo, Field Application Engineer, Rebound Electronics
