OKW’s HAND-TERMINAL Plastic Enclosures Now In Two Versions
OKW’s HAND-TERMINAL industrial electronic enclosures are now available in two versions, offering the choice of a closed or open top. These sealed plastic enclosures (IP 65 optional) are designed specifically for heavy-duty handheld
devices. Applications include machine control, mobile terminals, measurement, programmers and data collection.
Ergonomic HAND-TERMINAL offers plenty of space for operating elements, displays, pushbuttons and large switches. Optimum weight distribution and a contoured hand grip on the underside make the enclosures comfortable to hold. They feature a large recessed area for controls and displays. Version I has a solid plastic top; Version II has an open top for a front panel. Both versions can be specified for either cable-connected or battery- powered (4 x AA, 1 or 2 x 9 V) electronics. The front has a large recessed area for mounting connectors. Inside there are PCB fastening pillars. HAND-TERMINAL (220 x 120 x 65 mm) is moulded from tough PC+ABS (UL 94 V-0) in off-white (RAL
9002) and black (RAL 9005) as standard. Accessories include battery compartments, battery clips, a plug-in contact (9 V), a battery spacer, an aluminium front panel, sealing kits and self-tapping screws. OKW can supply HAND-TERMINAL fully customised. Services include CNC machining, lacquering, printing, laser marking, decor foils, EMC shielding and installation/assembly of accessories.

MMS Electronics Ltd introduced new compact PLC control units from DISPLAY VISIONS. These innovative controllers are designed to be particularly communicative, with a central control unit and can address up to 50 remote satellite displays. This makes these PLCs ideal for a wide range of AV, home and industrial applications, where it is important to be able to visualize process data, enter parameter data, and control the system from multiple locations. The central control unit, “PLC-Core”, is simple to use and shows measurement and process data on a brilliant 2.8 inch IPS display with a PCAP touch panel. The PLC- Core is networked with the satellite displays automatically via Ethernet, RS-485 or Wi-Fi.
The measurement values and parameters are updated automatically. The PLC-Core EA PLC028-D8I4R4 has 8 digital inputs, 4 analogue inputs (0-10V or 4-20mA) and 4 relay
outputs, Wi-Fi, RS-485 and Ethernet. Including Real-Time-Clock. Supply 12-24V. The PLC-Core is designed for top-hat rail mounting.
Contact MMS Electronics Ltd to talk about your application and learn how these controllers can be used. MMS Electronics Ltd based in Leeds is the authorised UK distributor and stockist for the 2,000 plus display products of Display Visions GmbH.
