Design ease using µModule vs. conventional parts

LTpowerCAD is a free- to-download, easy-to-use power supply design tool with a user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI) and powerful design features.

LTspice is a free, simple and powerful circuit simulation tool with a library containing Analog Devices products, as well as commonly used discrete passive and transistor components.

markets such as aerospace and automotive which demand the highest possible reliability. µModule power products are no different and undergo thorough production testing and accelerated life testing to ensure reliability and long-term performance in demanding applications. This reliability is essential for critical systems where downtime is not an option.

Versatility: µModule power products are available in a variety of configurations to meet the diverse needs of different applications. Whether designers require step-down (buck) converters, step-up (boost) converters, or other specialized power solutions, Analog Devices offers a range of µModule products to suit various requirements. Features across the range include models with Multiple Outputs, Low Vin, Low EMI, Margining, Sequencing & Margining, Adjustable Loop Compensation and Precision Remote Sensing along with Wide Temperature range, Ultrathin Packages and Pin Compatible devices that allow designers a performance upgrade path without PCB redesign. In summary, Analog Devices’ µModule power products

offer designers a convenient and efficient solution for power management challenges, combining high performance, compactness, and reliability in a single package. These modules help to simplify the design process, reduce time to market, and ensure optimal performance in a wide range of applications.

Design support

Analog Devices have made over 150 unique demonstration circuits available which allow designers to explore the full capabilities of the µModule power products. These circuits are designed to simulate the most common real world power management use cases, and design files are available enabling the demonstration circuits to be used as the reference design for the end application with just a few modifications. Free simulation design tools to shorten design time and optimize power supply solutions before the prototype board build are also available. These tools are free to download: just scan the QR codes to get started.

LTpowerPlay, an intuitive Windows-based development environment, can be used to configure and interrogate power system management (PSM) devices. Offline operation (with no hardware present) is possible, in order to

build a multichip configuration file that can be saved and reloaded at a later time.

Anglia offers further support for customer designs with free evaluation kits, demonstration boards and samples of Analog Devices products via the EZYsample service which is available to all registered Anglia Live account customers. Anglia’s engineering team are also on hand to support designers with their extensive experience of power designs and can offer advice and support at component, software and system level. This expertise is available to assist customers with all aspects of their product design, providing hands on support and access to additional comprehensive Analog Devices resources including tutorial videos, technical application notes and reference designs.
