Q: How has 2026 been for you so far? DJ: Overall, it’s been a positive year so far, despite the obvious challenges that continue to affect most industries. There is no doubt that the retail environment remains difficult; economic pressures, consumer confidence, rising costs, and wider market uncertainty continue to create challenges for both retailers and suppliers.
However, despite those obstacles, the feedback I have received from retailers has generally been very positive, and that provides reassurance that our strategy is working and that retailers continue to see value in the Tamaris proposition.
One of the most important aspects of our business philosophy at the Wortmann group is maintaining strong relationships with our customers. We understand that these are challenging times for everyone, and our role extends beyond simply supplying products. Supporting retailers, listening to their concerns, and working collaboratively to overcome challenges is just as important.
As we move through the remainder of the year, our focus will remain on providing that support wherever possible. By maintaining open communication and continuing to deliver strong products, we believe we can help our retail partners achieve positive results despite the wider challenges facing the market.
Q: Tell us about some of your latest key product ranges. DJ: As we look towards the upcoming SS27 season, our key product ranges represent a continuation of the strengths that have performed so well in previous collections. The focus remains firmly on elegant and feminine styling, combined with the comfort features that consumers increasingly expect. Today’s customer does not want to choose

between fashion and comfort - they expect both. That expectation is something Tamaris has successfully addressed for many years, and it remains a central part of our product strategy.
Whether customers are looking for casual summer options, occasion footwear, or versatile everyday styles, the collection has been developed to offer something suitable for a wide variety of lifestyles and needs.
Importantly, these products continue to be supported by a highly competitive pricing structure. In a market where value has become increasingly important, consumers want reassurance that they are making sensible purchasing decisions, and Tamaris offers just that. Another exciting development has been the introduction of our men’s collection. Although it entered the market only a year ago, it has already become a welcome addition to the Tamaris brand. The collection complements the wider offering and provides additional opportunities for retailers to engage with consumers who appreciate the same combination of style, comfort, and value that has helped establish Tamaris within the women’s market.
