Sidmouth based Award Winners do the double!!

Sidmouth is justifiably acknowledged as the jewel in the East Devon crown, giving visitors and locals alike a huge range of independent shops which are the life blood of this thriving seaside town. One of Sidmouth's success stories is White &

Son Shoes in Fore Street. This family owned shoe shop has a shoe history spanning over 140 years and the current owner, Steve White, is the fourth generation of his family to continue the White & Son Shoes footwear dynasty. 2018 saw White & Son Shoes awarded the

prestigious Ladies Independent Footwear Retailer of the Year at the Footwear Industry Awards ceremony held at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham. Following their success in 2018 the White & Son

Shoes team have been awarded a second honour at the 2019 awards ceremony, 'Men's Independent Retailer of the Year 2019.' Today the shop in Fore street Sidmouth is probably the destination for the widest selection of quality footwear in Devon. The range and selection of shoes and sandals for men and women as customers frequently tell us is "Outstanding, if only we had a shoe shop like this in our area!"

Owner Steve White sums it up perfectly

"We are a shoe shop - Not a shop that sells shoes."Many of the brands featured in the Sidmouth shop may be familiar to you, Rieker, Hotter, Skechers, Josef Seibel and Ecco to name but a few. Rieker and its sister company Remonte feature heavily in the shop, a huge range offering the widest choice of styles and colours makes this the go to shop for Remonte or Rieker men's and ladies shoes. The White & Son team introduced the Hotter

brand into its award winning shop during 2018. Stocking firm favourites from the Hotter Classic Range along with some exciting new additions are proving to be a winner with customers that appreciate all of the qualities that the Hotter range brings. Josef Seibel needs no introduction to

customers who have already experienced all that the European Comfort brand has to offer. Who cannot be aware of the award winning Skechers brand featuring both Mens and Ladies styles in a huge variety of styles and colours. If you are struggling to find wide fitting shoes,

White & Son are a prestigious Diamond Stockist of the award winning DB Shoes. With a range of fittings and different depths, DB Shoes could offer a solution to the search for those shoes that have

that little extra, comfort, width and room for orthotics or other insoles if required. Whilst other brands available in the shop may

not be instantly recognisable to you, they have been carefully selected by the White & Son team for quality, comfort and style. It is easy to see why this double award winning shoe shop brings in customers from far and wide, often copied but rarely bettered. White & Son Shoes are just back from the Esplanade on Fore Street, why not look in and see for yourself why this award winning shop is a Shoe Shop, not a shop that sells shoes!
