How did you get into footwear? Tell us about your background and your current business? After over 25 years in construction I decided to close my business to concentrate on my children. After a very short while I realised that I needed something else to do, I have always been obsessed with footwear and realised how important good fitting shoes are especially for the developing foot. Hence Little Angel Shoes was created.

Where are your premises located and how many people do you employ? Do you have a high turnover of staff? Tell us about your shop(s), the local area, your customers and their requirements? Little Angel Shoes is located in Angel Court Godalming, opposite the scrummy Cafe Mila and away from the busy main road. We are so lucky to have amazing people who work here and fully embrace our ethos of only selling shoes that fit brilliantly.

Do you have an online shop/website and do you use social networking for business? Our Facebook page and Instagram pages have an active audience and we use them to inform, educate and amuse our followers.

How are you finding the footwear market currently? Unpredictable, the political situation and the uncertainty of the weather are both impacting consumers confidence.

What’s selling well? Any particular trends? Which are your best selling footwear brands – and why? We have a very wide offering in brands and designs covering many trends and they all appear to be popular at one time or another.

How important is shoe fitting to your business? Are you or any of your staff members of the Society of Shoe Fitters? Yes a member of our staff is a member of the Society of Shoefitters and we apply their ethos when fitting shoes as it’s an essential part of our business strategy.
