ADVERTORIALS SEPURA™ continues to make the grade
As manufacturers of the market-leading SEPURA™ range of oil/water separators with a global distribution network, innovators of the world’s first fully disposable separator (the SEP60), and developers of the ground-breaking SILEXA™ filtration media, Bowman Stor certainly sets the bar very high for itself. So it’s hardly surprising that the UK-based filtration specialist constantly strives to meet both nationally and internationally acknowledged marks of approval in its restless quest for excellence. Recently, Bowman achieved one of its major goals with the attainment of the prestigious DIBt approval covering its low to mid-range units (SEP60 through to SEP2500). The DIBt (the German Institute for Construction Technology) is a globally-recognised authority that
ensures the technical fitness for an intended use of an innovative or non-standardised construction product, service or process. The status confirms that Bowman Stor’s manufacturing and quality assurance systems are on a par with the leading names in the process and filtration industry. It also gives the necessary affirmation that, in a market where conformance is paramount, the primary SEPURA separators are fit for purpose and reach the exacting demands required by building control personnel.

ABB wins Red Dot award for FlexPacker industrial Delta robot
• FlexPacker’s compact design quality, innovation and concept of focused productivity lands prestigious award
• The first industrial Delta robot to win the Red Dot award ABB’s IRB 390 FlexPacker® industrial Delta robot designed for ultra-fast packing has been chosen for the Red Dot Product Design Award – the second ABB robot to receive the prestigious award in two consecutive years.
The global Red Dot Design Awards recognize achievements in product design, with the jury – com- prised of over 50 international design experts – testing and evaluating thousands of entries every year. In 2022, the Red Dot Award panel looked for products that showed design quality and a high degree of innovation – attributes that informed the FlexPacker’s development from the beginning. The award reflects the importance of design in robotics as more automated solutions.

Genesis – The Birth Of A New Type Of Multiphase Detector
Magnetrol’s revolutionary multiphase detector, Genesis, is a Time Domain Reflectometry Device (TDR) based level detector designed to accurately define and quantify the various layers in multiple interface level measurement. Encompassing a
number of significant engineering developments from Magnetrol’s progressive engineering team, this innovative level detector can deliver a full interface profile of a vessel with performance which surpasses many of the more traditional technologies. Utilizing patented “Top -Down” and Bottom-Up” signals, along with advanced level detection algorithms, Genesis can be deployed in a wide variety of interface applications ranging from very light hydrocarbons to water-based media. For example, Genesis can be used to define the
multiple interfaces (Sand – water – emulsion – oil – gas) with exceptional precision and can even identify the magnitude of any emulsion layer.

New vacuum pump and pre-vacuum pump N 952
The characteristics of the new N 952 oil- free vacuum pump make it ideal for use in analytical chemistry systems and as a pre- vacuum pump for turbopumps. With this pump series’ ability to generate a deep vacuum quickly and with low vibration, it is suitable for a variety of important applications.
Vacuum as a tool in laboratories and industries Vacuum is a key tool in laboratories for research and analysis to control chemical reactions. Likewise, vacuum technology plays an important role in environmental technology, analytical technology and hydrogen production, because the requirements for higher throughputs and higher resolution are increasing in these growth markets. The use of turbopumps in industrial applications and research is made possible by a pre-vacuum.

Full-metal ultrasonic sensing from ifm electronic
Analysis cell evacuation, pre-vacuum and vacuum profiles for drying ovens With an ultimate vacuum of up to 1.5 mbar abs. at a flow rate of up to 36 l/min, the new N 952 diaphragm pump series is an important support for many analytical instrument applications. For example, the power of the vacuum pump ensures rapidly evacuated analysis cells. Its speed and retention of high pumping speed even close to ultimate vacuum make the N 952 the ideal pre-vacuum pump for turbomolecular pumps.
Installed in a drying chamber or heating oven, the N 952 diaphragm pump presents two further strengths at once: its speed-controlled vacuum performance for the exact provision of the required vacuum profile and its low-vibration operation.

Wet environments coupled with aggressive chemical cleaning can make non-contact ultrasonic distance measurement and level sensing very challenging, full-metal ultrasonic sensors in the new UIT300 range from ifm electronic provide a convenient, durable and cost-effective solution. To ensure long life even in demanding environments, all exposed surfaces of these cylindrical M30 sensors, including the sensing face and the connector housing, are fabricated from high grade 316L stainless steel, which is highly resistant to corrosion. UIT300-series ultrasonic sensors have a sensing range of 250 to 2,500 mm, with a 400 x 400 mm target. They incorporate an IO-Link interface which is used for configuration and to provide a continuous measurement of sensor-to-target distance with a resolution of 3 mm. Also available via IO-Link is an echo quality indication, which can be used as an aid for optimising the installation of the sensor and to monitor its performance while it is in service.
