EN3 has been testing and measuring electronics for over 40 years. In that

time, they have grown from a small, family-run shop to a globally known expert in the field of electronics testing, with a well-known reputation for excellence. They are a front-line defender known for their precision, having designed, engineered, manufactured, and distributed their electronics test and measurement equipment for top brands worldwide.

What is your role at GEN3? I’m a CM (contract manufacturing) product specialist. I’m in charge of customer support, calibrations, testing, and the actual production of the unit.

Tell us about the testing process? We use a GEN3 Contaminometer - it’s a process control tool for PCB boards. It comes in a variety of sizes. This one is 11+, which is about three litres. They go all the way up to 33L class, which is about 35 litres. We understand this is a world first

different from competitors. That’s another advantage because we get a more reliable reading at the end because you get all the contaminations in all the regions throughout.

What else is GEN3 doing to enhance the test cycle? We’re in a continuous cycle of development, and we’ve adjusted the position of our cell to be a lot closer to the PCB in the test cycle, which gives you clearer, more reliable results. We’ve also increased the flow rate for

the test cycle, yielding faster, cleaner results.

GEN3 seems to be a leader in electronics testing equipment - what has made you different? We take personal responsibility for the quality of the machine. We’re really proud of the levels we’ve reached! For three generations, GEN3 have

designed, engineered, manufactured, and distributed our test and measurement equipment into the electronics industry to shield your circuits from failure in the field. In the high-reliability arena, there is too much at stake to allow room for error. Testing must be finite and flawless. At

How is it different from all other test equipment? We use a special, solid gold measurement cell, and that is an advantage for us because it has such a low resistance. It’s also resistant to
