Altus and Fuji Bring ‘Factory of the Future’ Vision to Life with Technology Event

Altus Group together with Fuji Corp. announced they will once again host the ‘Factory of the Future’ technology event. The two-day symposium on 11-12 September at the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Centre (AMTC) in Coventry will showcase emerging trends and the latest innovations transforming the electronics manufacturing industry.

Marktech’s New Multi-chip Packages with InGaAs Photodiodes and LED Emitters

Marktech Optoelectronics, a leader in innovative light emission and detection solutions, today announces the launch of its new 235nm and 255nm UVC LEDs mounted on starboards, a significant innovation designed to accelerate the development and prototyping of sensors, instruments, and sanitizers. These state-of-the-art UVC LEDs on starboards are a convenient solution, relieving optical and electrical design engineers from the intricacies of PCB design and assembly, and allowing them to swiftly evaluate the performance of 235nm or 255nm UVC LEDs in their projects.

The Silanna UVC LEDs are packaged in Marktech’s proprietary ATLAS hermetic SMD package. The award-winning ATLAS package provides exceptional environmental protection for UVC chips in a highly compact footprint. The new Silanna UVC LEDs on starboards are available in flat lens and dome lens versions. The flat lens provides a wider viewing angle of 120 degrees, and the dome lens reduces the viewing angle to 60 degrees.

B

uilding on the success of the 2022 inaugural Factory of the Future, which welcomed over 125 industry professionals, this year’s event agenda will feature 16 expert-led sessions spanning the full range of electronics production processes and technologies. Attendees will gain insights from over 25 leading suppliers like Koh Young, PVA, Heller Industries, Essemtec, and Asscon, who will present their cutting-edge products and solutions through hands-on demonstrations. Joe Booth, CEO of Altus Group said: “It is our mission to be the best at what we do for the customers we serve, and I believe that we can offer a huge amount of value to our partners outside of our day to day operations by hosting and investing in events like this one. “Our customers are always interested in best practices or what is new, and these events allow them to network, learn, understand future roadmaps, and leave with many ideas they can apply to their facility. Hugely popular in our first year and exceeding our expectations, we have increased the capacity to 250 guests if needed, so I can’t wait to make it a couple of days to remember.” Artur Tobolski, Fuji Regional Account Manager added: “The last Factory of the Future event in 2022 seems like only yesterday, but I can’t wait for it to return in 2024. The event is jam-packed for those who attend, and the line-up is as good as you will see at any European exhibition. “Fuji will be there in full force with Altus, and it is going to be a great chance to connect with current partners, showcase your latest technology, learn about industry trends, and have a good time doing it.”

Critical Advantages of Marktech’s UVC LEDs on Starboards Rapid Prototyping: Engineers can skip the initial PCB design and assembly phases, speeding up the development cycle. High Efficiency and Safety: Featuring Silanna Safe™ 235nm emitting chips, these UVC LEDs provide outstanding power efficiency with reduced health risks. They ensure only minimal skin irritation without the long-term dangers of skin cancer and cataracts associated with higher wavelength UVC LEDs. Durability and Eco-friendliness: The UVC LEDs are designed for longevity, exceeding 9,000 hours for 235nm and 18,000 hours for 255nm models, and are mercury-free, making them an environmentally responsible choice.

Versatile Applications: It is ideal for a diverse range of uses, from medical equipment to consumer appliances, promoting safer, more efficient sterilization, disinfection, and optical sensing.

“This launch marks a significant milestone in germicidal UV applications,” said Vince Forte, Chief Technology Officer of Marktech Optoelectronics. “By providing these advanced UVC LEDs on starboards, we are not only delivering a superior product but also empowering designers to bring safer, more efficient solutions to market quicker than ever.”

Marktech’s UVC LEDs on starboards are now available for order. They provide an invaluable tool for developers who want to leverage the latest UVC technology for innovative and effective germicidal solutions.
